On 7 Apr 12 Christopher Camino, age 40, 98 Acme Street, Marietta, was admitted to Marietta Memorial Hospital following a motorcycle crash on property located at 3500 County Road 9, Newport. Mr. Camino transported himself to the hospital but could not recall details of the crash. He was later transported to Ohio State Medical Center for treatment to a broken neck (1184).

On 7 Apr 12 Deputy Sheriff McConnell requested a summons for a fifteen year old Marietta resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. When the teenager refused her father’s order to help carry groceries he informed her that he was turning off her cell phone. The teenager then “went crazy” and started kicking things, throwing things and overturned a coffee table. The teenager’s father said his daughter refuses to do household chores and in the past has punched holes in walls.

On 7 Apr 12 Pamela Gereshenski, age 43, 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 4, Marietta, reported she was involved in an altercation with her husband Michael Page, age 45. During an argument, Mrs. Gereshenski said her husband kicked a dishwasher into her leg and grabbed her forcefully by the arm. Mrs. Gereshenski said her husband threw a lamp at her and would not allow her to leave the residence. Asked if she freared for her safety, Mrs. Gereshenski answered “yes, he’s going to kill me.” Consequently, Deputy Sheriff McKee arrested Mr. Page for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail. Both parties were highly intoxicated, with Mrs. Gereshenski testing .287 and Mr. Page .327 BAC.

On 7 Apr 12 Daniel Shoemaker, age 72, 22000 State Route 60, Beverly, reported he and his wife were away from their residence between 9 am and 6 pm and at some point during that period an unknown suspect t(s) kicked open the door to his garage. Mr. Shoemaker said the only missing items were two tires he valued at $40. This case remains under investigation (910).

On 7 Apr 12 Lt. Norman arrested Nicholas R. Cochran, age 23, 113 Pineview Circle, Marietta, for .17 breath OVI, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stopped after he crossed completely over the centerline on State Route 530 near milepost 2.5, Mr. Cochran had a strong odor of alcohol and bloodshot eyes. Following his arrest, Mr. Cochran admitted having a bag of marijuana and a marijuana joint in the console of his vehicle. When transported to the Washington County Jail, Mr. Cochran tested .214 BAC.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Nicholas Robert Cochran, age 23, 113 Pineview Circle, Marietta, for .17 breath OVI, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Cochran was arrested on State Route 530 by Lt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 12 at 2:39 am.

Michael Brian Page, age 45, 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 1, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Page was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 12 at 4:25 am.

Keith Tyler Whealdon, age 19, 2460 Huck Road, Lowell, for a felony charge of theft and for misdemeanor charges of cruelty to animals and possession of drug paraphernalia. Whealdon turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 12 at 4:35 pm.
