On 26 Mar 12 Ted Offenberger, age 43, reported a pile of aluminum ceiling framing and window weights were unloaded in front of his building at 632 Main Street, Waterford, the afternoon on 25 Mar. When Mr. Offenberger returned to the building the following morning the metal was missing from the property. The suspect is believed to be a white male was driving a blue and white Chevrolet pickup truck. This case remains under investigation (912).

On 26 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Schubert issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Sabrena Gossett, age 42, 415 Barber Street, Marietta, for failing to confine/restrain her dog. Eight days earlier, a juvenile was riding his bike near Ms. Gossett’s home when two dogs exited the home and approached him in an aggressive manner. One of the dogs then bit the juvenile on the right ankle before being called back into the home. The juvenile received treatment for three minor lacerations at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

On 26 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Schubert requested a summons for Marjorie Greathouse, age 63, 425 Reed Road, Marietta, for failing to confine/restrain her dog. Ms. Greathouse is the owner of the dog that bit a young girl in the face outside her residence on 19 Jan 12. Stating she occasionally let her dog run loose, Ms. Greathouse was cooperative with the investigation into the incident. The juvenile received thirty-two stitches but has since recovered fully.

On 26 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Schubert requested a summons for Frederick G. McKitrick, age 29, 765 Warrior Drive, Barlow, for failing to confine/restrain his dog. Earlier in the week several motorists reported a dog was running loose in the area of White Oak Center Drive and Warrior Drive and attacking vehicles as they drove past. When Deputy Schubert arrived at the location, the dog barked and growled at her and began biting the side bumper of her vehicle. The Humane Officer has previously responded to the same location after receiving complaints that Mr. McKitrick allowed his dogs to roam freely.
