On 20 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested warrants for Ashley N. Wynn, age 21, 214 Wooster Street, Marietta, for forgery and receiving stolen property. In late December of last year a family member of Ms. Wynn reported fifteen checks were missing from his checkbook and four of the checks had been cashed. An investigation revealed that Ms. Wynn forged the checks and duped several individuals to cash them for her. The checks were forged for a total of $570.

On 20 Mar 12 Violet J. Griffith, age 57, 1750 Dugan Road, Belpre, reported an individual who removed an old trailer from her property also removed patio blocks, a television antenna and an antenna tower without permission. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 20 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested a summons for a fourteen year old Macksburg resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The teenager’s mother said her son has been out of control for the past six months and refuses to his teachers or his parents.

TWO ARRESTS MADE IN HOME INVASION CASE

Two suspects are incarcerated in the Washington County Jail following their arrests on charges related to a home invasion at 255 Arends Ridge Road, Marietta, in the morning hours of 18 Mar 12. Shannon Lake, age 28, and Timothy Neader, age 27, both of 368 O’Linn Road, Marietta, were arrested on two charges of kidnapping and a charge of aggravated burglary after the execution of multiple search warrants by the Major Crimes Task Force.

Questioned about the home invasion, Neader and Lake admitted conspiring to commit the crime and said they either stole or purchased the items utilized during the burglary. In addition, Neader admitted placing pillowcases over the heads of the two victims and placing a gag in the mouth of the adult victim. Lake acknowledged knowing that while she stood by that Neader was binding the two victims to a bed. With the victims bound, Lake and Neader said they searched through the home and stole cash, a television and a laptop computer. The two then fled in the victim’s Chevy Suburban. Lake and Neader said they subsequently disposed of some of the items and maintained the other others in West Virginia. Under further questioning, both suspects acknowledged using the proceeds from their crime to purchase marijuana and prescription narcotics.

Both suspects are being held in lieu of bond pending their initial appearance in Marietta Municipal Court.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ciara Marie Cavallier, age 24, 415 Franklin Street, Marietta, for three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Cavallier was arrested at 213 E. Faye Avenue by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 12 at 1:14 am.

Shannon Michelle Lake, age 28, 368 O’Linn Road, Marietta, for aggravated burglary and for two counts of complicity in kidnapping, all felonies. Lake was arrested at her residence by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 12 at 11:51 am.

Rhodney Shane Lavasseur, age 21, 2005 Washington Boulevard Apt. 1, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license, resisting arrest and for obstructing official business, all misdemeanors. Lavasseur was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Stump of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 12 at 12:33 pm.

Timothy Brandon Neader, age 27, 368 O’Linn Road, Marietta, for aggravated burglary and for two counts of kidnapping, all felonies. Neader was arrested at his residence by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 12 at 12:39 pm.

Charles E. Mollohan II, age 20, Marietta, for possession of drugs, underage consumption of alcohol and for two counts of breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors. Mollohan was arrested at Colonial Terrace by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 12 at 1:04 pm.

Justin Michael Hill, age 25, 301 Blennerhassett Avenue Apt. A, Belpre, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Hill was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gilchrist and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 12 at 3:17 pm.

Joshua Frank Daniel Davis, age 42, 1209 River Crest Village Apt. A, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested on County House Lane by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 12 at 4:40 pm.
