On 18 Mar 12 Lt. Stackpole issued a citation to Pamela Campbell, age 41, 300 Eyermann Road, Belpre, for operating a vehicle with license plates that expired in December 2011. Lt. Stackpole stopped Ms. Campbell on US 50 near Drag Strip Road in Belpre Township.

On 18 Mar 12 Jeffery Adkins, age 39, 188 Martin Road, Reno, reported he recently moved a house trailer to this address and was completing repairs on it prior to moving. Mr. Adkins said sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) stole the air conditioning unit from where he placed it near the trailer. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 18 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks responded to a dispute at a residence in Warren Township involving a seventeen year old and his twenty-three year old sister. Each party blamed the other for instigating the incident, which resulted in a brief quarrel. The siblings were informed of the law on disorderly conduct and agreed to avoid further problems.

On 18 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Holbert and the Beverly Fire Department responded to a fire a residence owned by Thomas Sims, age 53, at 31 Allen Lane, Waterford. The renters of the home reported they were watching television when a jolt shook the home. They said they immediately noticed smoke and fire and exited the home. The Beverly fire chief said lightning appears to have struck a nearby tree and connected to an electric fan in the home’s attic. The resulting fire caused moderate damage to the home. No injuries were reported.

On 18 Mar 12 Steven C. Wheeler, age 26, 1265 Leith Run New Matamoras, reported he was involved in a scuffle with his live-in girlfriend. Following an argument with his girlfriend, Mr. Wheeler said he was attempting to leave the residence with his children when his girlfriend attempted to keep him from entering his vehicle. During the skirmish Mr. Wheeler either also head butted his girlfriend or inadvertently struck her in the head with a car door. Mr. Wheeler’s girlfriend then responded by kicking the outside of the car several times. Neither party stated they feared for their safety during the incident. As a result, Deputy Holbert closed this case as unfounded.

On 18 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Jonathan W. Ray, age 21, 12 Sunrise Drive, Cambridge, for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Ray on State Route 7 in Belpre Township.

On 18 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded to reports that the driver of a pickup truck was drinking beer as he drove around the Waterford area. Locating the vehicle near Waterford High School, Deputy Mankins identified the driver as Harold J. Gunter Jr., age 19, 938 Sand Ridge Road, Waterford. In the vehicle along with Mr. Gunter were Ashley N. Biehl, age 18, 19 Christy Road, Fleming; Cody B. Headlee, age 20, 395 Main Street, Waterford; and Harley Klee Munjas, age 20, 600 Beebe Road, Waterford. Questioned about the open case of Bud Light in the bed of the truck, all of the occupants admitted consuming beer from the case and stated they were going to drink the beer at Mr. Headlee’s residence. Subsequent to his poor performance on field sobriety tests, Mr. Gunter was arrested for underage OVI and underage consumption of alcohol. Charged with underage consumption of alcohol, Mr. Headlee, Ms. Biehl and Mr. Munjas were transported with Mr. Gunter to the Washington County Jail. At the jail Mr. Gunter tested .06 BAC.

On 18 Mar 12 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Tyler S. Reed, age 20, 571 Swift Road, Waterford, for failure to obey a traffic control device. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Reed after he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Third Street and State Route 339 in Waterford Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Anthony Durham, age 46, 616 Fourth Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. Durham was arrested at the Townhouse by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 12:21 am.

Amy Jo Chevalier, age 27, 231 Woodlawn Avenue, Belpre, for OVI and for failure to signal, both misdemeanors. Chevalier was arrested near the Williamstown bridge in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 3:07 am.

Christopher Martin Kieper, age 18, 3003 Camden Avenue, Parkersburg, for a felony charge of theft and for misdemeanor charges of possession of criminal tools, criminal trespassing and criminal damaging. Kieper was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 11:45 am.

Brian Matthew Lee, age 31, 601 Virginia Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Lee was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 5:53 pm.

Glenn Roger Johnson Jr., age 25, 116 Harmar Street, Marietta, for theft and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors. Johnson was arrested at Food 4 Less by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 6:34 pm.

Jessica Dawn Drake, age 24, 3890 Bells Run Road, Newport, for violating the terms of her parole, a felony. Drake was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 8:17 pm.

Alex J. Handschumacher, age 33, 10 Browns Road, Marietta, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Handschumacher was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 8:46 pm.

Harley Klee Munjas, age 20, 600 Beebe Road, Waterford, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Munjas was arrested at Waterford High School by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 9:51 pm.

Cody Brian Headlee, age 20, 395 Main Street, Waterford, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Headlee was arrested at Waterford High School by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 9:52 pm.

Ashley Nicole Biehl, age 18, 19 Christy Road, Fleming, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Biehl was arrested at Waterford High School by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 10:10 pm.

Harold Jacob Gunter Jr., age 19, 938 Sand Ridge Road, Waterford, for .02 underage OVI, for failure to register and for underage consumption of alcohol, all misdemeanors. Gunter was arrested in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 10:28 pm.

Damian Alexander Turner, age 24, 109 Sunnyhill Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Turner was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 12 at 11:40 pm.
