On 9 Mar 12 Lt. Rhodes issued a citation to Brad I. Bloomfield, age 47, 545 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, for driving under a suspended license. Lt. Rhodes originally stopped Mr. Bloomfield for having an inoperable license plate light on State Route 555 at State Route 550 in Wesley Township.

On 9 Mar 12 Courtney A. Atkinson, age 32, 9380 State Route 555, Cutler, reported her ex-boyfriend visited her home briefly that evening and during that time she believes he stole a $2,200 white gold and diamond necklace he gave her in March 2010. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 9 Mar 12 Penny Clark, age 59, 1685 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, reported at some point during the past day and a half an unknown suspect(s) stole over 100 of her hydromorphone pills from the glove compartment in her vehicle. This case remains under investigation (1007).

On 9 Mar 12 Alisha M. Harris, age 21, 26935 State Route 7 Apt. 2B, Marietta, reported she was involved in an altercation with her live-in boyfriend, Mark Bennett, age 22. Intoxicated when his girlfriend arrived home, Mr. Bennett accused Ms. Harris of having an affair with his father. An argument ensued and Ms. Harris began packing belongings to leave the home for the night. While she did so, Mr. Bennett shoved her around a hallway and into a stairway railing. A friend visiting the home intervened, allowing Ms. Harris to flee the home. Complaining of pain in her right arm, Ms. Harris was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and released. Mr. Bennett was subsequently arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail (610, 1007, 1184).

On 9 Mar 12 James W. Abbott, age 58, 1973 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered his deceased mother’s home at 2268 Congress Road, Belpre. Mr. Abbott said the only item he believes is missing is an old jewelry box containing miscellaneous jewelry. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 9 Mar 12 Vadonna Terrell, age 59, 263 Crystal Circle, Mooresville, NC, and Kimberly Porter, age 39, 2604 24th Street, Parkersburg, reported an unknown suspect(s) broke windows to access the inside of their vehicles while they attended a funeral at Leavitt Funeral Home in Belpre. Items stolen from the two vehicles include prescription medication, cash, an iPad, credit cards, keys and magazines. This case remains under investigation (507).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Tammy Sue Forshey, age 47, Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Forshey was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Mar 12 at 3:50 am.

Corey Lee Smearman, age 23, 204 Seventh Street, Beverly, for contempt for failing to pay fines, a misdemeanor. Smearman turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Mar 12 at 3:10 pm.

David William Hart, age 31, 2236 State Route 83, Beverly, for theft, a misdemeanor. Hart was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Mar 12 at 4:26 pm.
