On 26 Feb 12 David T. Porter, age 38, 4963
Pleasant Valley Road, Dennison, OH, was life-flighted to Columbus
for medical treatment to injuries suffered during a motorcycle
race at 1704 Ellis Run Road, Cutler. During the race Mr. Porter
flew off his motorcycle, suffering several injuries, including
ripping the ring finger from one of his hands. His current condition
is unknown (1007).
On 26 Feb 12 Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Lori
L. Parrish, age 71 Riverview Lane, Lowell, for OVI and for being
in possession of an open container of alcohol. Investigating
a report of an intoxicated drive, Deputy Carr stopped Ms. Parrish
after she committed multiple traffic violations near milepost
nineteen on State Route 7. In addition to observing an open
sixteen ounce can of beer in the vehicle, Deputy Carr detected
an odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Though she admitted
consuming a couple beers, Ms. Parrish performed poorly on field
sobriety tests. When transported to the Washington County Jail,
Ms. Parrish tested .195 BAC.
On 26 Feb 12 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a
citation to Robert F. Naples, age 55, 2135 Henn Hyde NE, Warren,
OH, for traveling 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Smeeks stopped
Mr. Naples on State Route 7 near milepost seventeen in Warren
Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Stephen Paul Ritchie, age 42, 204 Main Street,
New Matamoras, for OVI, possession of drugs and for operating
a vehicle with fictitious plates, all misdemeanors. Ritchie
was arrested on State Route 7 by Patrolman Blamble of the New
Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 26 Feb 12 at 1:39 am.
Brett Paul Mitchell, age 19, 613 Ward Place,
Parkersburg, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
Mitchell was arrested on Greene Street by the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 26 Feb 12 at 2:13 am.
Daniel Lee Smith, age 38, 401 ½ E. Montgomery
Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Smith
was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Feb 12 at 2:31 am.
James J. Metcalf III, age 18, 2603 Hopkins
Street, Houston, TX, for underage consumption of alcohol, a
misdemeanor. Metcalf was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman
Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 26 Feb 12 at 3:12 am.
Lewis Edward Muro, age 34, 728 Fourth Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Muro was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Feb 12 at
4:34 am.
Keitha Laroyce Barber, age 29, 17 Lane Avenue
Apt. 7, Greenville, SC, for driving under a suspended license
and speeding, both misdemeanors. Barber was arrested near milepost
thirteen on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Feb 12 at 2:36
pm.
Lori Lynn Parrish, age 71 Riverview Lane, Lowell,
for OVI and for being in possession of an open container of
alcohol, both misdemeanors. Parrish was arrested on State Route
7 by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Feb 12 at 8:04 pm.
