On 21 Feb 12 Danny Pickrell, age 59, 79 Hall Road, Vincent, reported at some point during the past four days he believes an aide who assists him in his home stole his wallet, and an envelope containing $500 from his safe. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 21 Feb 12 Deputy Sheriff Underwood requested a summons for Anthony Boyce, age 27, 635 Fourth Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order. Mr. Boyce’s ex-wife, Lori Boyce, age 33, 207 Rummer Road, Marietta, reported her ex-husband drove slowly by her residence that evening while Mr. Boyce’s younger brother made an obscene gesture at her.

On 21 Feb 12 Deputy Sheriff Carr and the Devola Fire Department responded to a grease fire at the residence of Greg Wilhelm, age 50, at 711 Lawton Road, Marietta. Mr. Wilhelm was cooking with oil when it caught fire and damaged cabinets above the stove. Mr. Wilhelm moved the skillet from the stove to a sink and extinguished it with the help of his girlfriend by throwing flour on it. That led to the fire also causing damage to curtains and cabinets around the sink. Mr. Wilhelm had redness and singed hair on his arm but declined to seek treatment for the minor injury.

On 21 Feb 12 Chad E. Stock, age 19, 256 Front Drive, New Matamoras, reported he was away from his residence for four hours that afternoon and during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) entered his home. Mr. Stock said a Wii game system, seven games and a shotgun were stolen from his residence. This case remains under investigation (1007).

On 21 Feb 12 Gregory A. Edgar, age 41, 405 Dana Road, Newport, reported he was performing maintenance near an oil tank on Hamilton Run Road in Lawrence Township when a device on the tank caught fire. A nearby resident loaned Mr. Edgar a fire extinguisher, which a firefighter from the Newport Fire Department used to extinguish the fire. The accidental fire appears to have been caused by static electricity igniting fumes in the tank. The fire caused minor damage (1007).

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Brandon Joshua Blevins, age 22, 36 Haught Street, Parkersburg, for two felony counts of forgery and for a misdemeanor charge of theft. Blevins was arrested on Muskingum Drive by Patrolman Heddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Feb 12 at 7:57 pm.
