On 16 Feb 12 Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Neil C. Connell, age 27, 651 Pine Bark Lane, McConnelsville, for .08 breath OVI and for driving under an FRA suspended license. Stopped for traveling left of center on Muskingum Drive near Colegate Drive, Mr. Connell had an odor of alcohol and slurred his speech. Mr. Connell said he was driving home after consuming a whiskey and Coke at the Locker Room. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests, Mr. Connell was transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail Mr. Connell tested .143 BAC.

On 16 Feb 12 Michael E. Jazdowski, age 25, 14990 State Route 60, Lowell, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) stole a Honda dirt bike out of a barn on his property. This case remains under investigation (296).

On 16 Feb 12 Gerald J. Antill, age 54, 30650 State Route 7, Marietta, reported he and his wife were away from their residence for an hour and a half that morning and at some point during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) entered their home. Mr. Antill stated the suspect(s) stole multiple containers of loose change that he estimated contained a total of $350 to $500. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 16 Feb 12 Deputy Sheriff Carr responded to a disturbance at the residence of Kevin Martin, age 40, at 22 Wells Road, Waterford. Thomas G. Huck, age 40, 819 Front Street, Marietta, traveled with Mr. Martin to the residence after consuming alcohol at a local bar. Shortly after arriving at the residence, Mr. Huck could be heard yelling from outside the bedroom where he was staying. When another household member checked on Mr. Huck she found him standing in the bedroom with his pants and underwear on the floor and his privates in his hand. Mr. Huck refused Mr. Martin’s requests to put his clothes back on and became combative and aggressive. The two briefly wrestled and knocked several picture frames off the walls. Still pantless while being interviewed by Deputy Carr, Mr. Huck began urinating on the floor. Mr. Huck was eventually convinced to put on a pair of sweatpants. As Deputy Carr attempted to handcuff him, Mr. Huck resisted and would not comply with Deputy Carr’s directions. Deputy Carr forced Mr. Huck to the ground and handcuffed him after using his Taser and with help from Lt. Norman. Charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and resisting arrest, Mr. Huck was transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Huck tested .258 BAC.

On 16 Feb 12 Corrections Officer Farrell filed charges on Washington County Jail inmate Grant T. McClay, age 21, Marietta, for theft. Mr. McClay attempted to mail a pair of jail-owned, orange, inmate pants to a friend but the large envelope was returned for not having sufficient postage for its weight. In a letter to the package’s recipient, Mr. McClay wrote that the package was the first of three that he intended to use as his new Halloween costume. Under further questioning, Mr. McClay admitted sending the package and said he did so as a joke to see if it was possible.

On 16 Feb 12 Deputy Sheriff Schubert issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Christine Smith, age 36, 228 Calder Ridge Road, Belpre, for failure to confine/restrain a dog. A neighbor reported Ms. Smith’s Doberman escaped from her property, charged at the her and attacked a cat. Deputy Schubert also warned Ms. Smith for not having a license for her dog.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Debra Lee Williams, age 18, 223 Greene Street, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested at the Locker Room by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 12 at 12:12 am.

Neil Curtis Connell, age 27, 651 Pine Bark Lane, McConnelsville, for .08 breath OVI and for driving under an FRA suspended license, both misdemeanors. Connell was arrested on State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 12 at 2:31 am.

Roger Lee Slack Jr., age 66, State Route 26, Marietta, for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor. Slack was arrested at the office of his probation officer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 12 at 9:04 am.

Justin Wayne Tomblin, age 23, 28017 Star Route Road, Logan, OH, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Tomblin was picked up at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 12 at 12:18 pm.

Colton Shean Longworth, age 21, 33309 Old Camp Road, New Matamoras, for domestic violence, endangering children and for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, all misdemeanors. Longworth was arrested on Williamson Avenue by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 12 at 7:30 pm.

Daniel Edward Hendrickson, age 57, 775 Gravel Bank Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Hendrickson was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 12 at 7:45 pm.

Thomas Gregory Huck, age 40, 819 Front Street, Marietta, for resisting arrest and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Huck was arrested in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Feb 12 at 11:40 pm.
