On 5 Feb 12 Deborah Wagner, age 59, 380 County House Lane, Marietta, reported her husband, Steven, age 58, was in a confused state of mind and appeared to be under the influence of an illegal substance. When his wife stated she was calling the Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Wagner threatened to harm himself several times. Deputy Sheriff Holbert later determined Mrs. Wagner had an active protection order against her husband. Consequently, Deputy Holbert arrested Mr. Wagner for violating the terms of a protection order and transported him to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Wagner stated he had no intention of harming himself and said he only made the comments to keep his wife from phoning the Sheriff’s Office.

On 5 Feb 12 William A. Chutes Jr., age 56, 102 Simpson Street, Marietta, reported when he awoke his 1986 Ford F-150 was missing from his driveway. The truck, which had three ladders on a rack, a toolbox in the cab and one in the tailgate, was found with heavy front end damage in a field at 16320 State Route 550, Marietta. Residents of homes near where the truck was abandoned reported items were stolen from inside their vehicle. Stolen items include a Garmin GPS unit, CDs and loose change. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 5 Feb 12 Deputy Sheriff Holbert responded to a littering complaint in the vicinity of 2000 Peaker Run Road in Lower Salem. The property is owned by Michael Haught, age 50, 9669 Bimelar Street NE, Bolivar, OH, but cared for by Mr. Haught’s cousin, who lives locally. Mr. Haught’s cousin said during the past two weeks unknown suspects disposed of mattresses, tires, trash bags and other various items on the property. This case remains under investigation.

On 5 Feb 12 Susan J. Science, age 68, 1325 Anderson Road, Fleming, reported she believes a female she and her husband recently kicked out of their home stole thirty-two of her Ativan pills and twenty of her Vicodin pills. This case remains under investigation (1293).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Martin Deane Gibbs Jr., age 24, 263 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Gibbs was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 12 at 12:13 am.

Miranda Leigh Hackathorn, age 20, 4680 Cow Creek Road, Saint Marys, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Hackathorn was arrested at the Locker Room by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 12 at 1:23 am.

Steven Dwain Wagner, age 58, 380 County House Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Wagner was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 12 at 11:10 am.

Teresa Eileen Alderman, age 40, 404 Jefferson Square, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Alderman was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 12 at 1:30 pm.

Julie Anne Reynolds, age 49, 53015 Fry Road, Pleasant City, OH, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Reynolds was arrested on Lancaster Street by Patrolman Newell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 12 at 10:52 pm.
