On 30 Jan 12 Deputy Sheriff Metts requested a warrant for Michael Roux, age 40, Marietta, for assault. Three days earlier Mr. Roux attacked David L. Lori, age 47, at Mr. Lori’s residence at 10 Browns Road Apt. 3D, Marietta. Mr. Lori stated Mr. Roux was angry that he asked him to leave his residence and shoved him into a wall. Mr. Roux then jumped on Mr. Lori’s back, causing him to fall and break a table and chair. Mr. Roux also forcefully shoved his finger into Mr. Lori’s eye, leaving him with swelling and bruising.

On 30 Jan 12 the New Matamoras Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire near 940 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras. A neighbor said an unknown male worked on the vehicle after it broke down two weeks ago but hadn’t been seen lately. The vehicle was fully engulfed when the fire department arrived and is a total loss (610).

On 30 Jan 12 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart responded to the scene of death of a sixty year old Marietta resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 30 Jan 12 Aaron Buckley, age 25, 1200 Lynch Church Road, Marietta, reported he’s been away from his residence for the past two days and while he was away he believes his ex-girlfriend entered his home. Mr. Buckley said the two share a child and that in addition to her personal belongings she allegedly stole toys, a computer, a VHS/DVD player and twenty DVDs that were suppose to remain in his home. This case remains under investigation (1104).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Seth Thomas Adams, age 26, 989 Mitchells Lane, Marietta, for assault and menacing, both misdemeanors. Adams was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 12 at 10:03 am.

Jason Clark Farnsworth, age 35, 736 Greene Street Apt. 8, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Farrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 12 at 10:29 am.

Daniel Lee Francis, age 27, 37 Town Hall Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Francis was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 12 at 11:05 am.

James Clinton Bartimus, age 38, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Bartimus was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 12 at 4:24 pm.

Eric Daniel Merino, age 26, 32684 State Route 30, Hanoverton, OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Merino was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Farrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 12 at 4:33 pm.

Julie Ann McCauley, age 49, 115 Arrow Drive, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of violating the terms of a protection order. McCauley was arrested on Oakwood Drive by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 12 at 8:28 pm.
