On 29 Jan 12 the Reno Fire Department transported a fifty year old Marietta resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment following a suicide attempt. The victim’s boyfriend said the victim consumed whiskey and ingested thirty-one oxycodone pills and locked herself in a bathroom. The victim was lethargic but should fully recover (610).

On 29 Jan 12 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Brandon L. Coburn, age 25, 53 Teens Run Road, Crown City, OH, for traveling 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Mr. Coburn on State Route 7 near Lockhart Street in Belpre Township.

On 29 Jan 12 Crystal G. O’Grady, age 35, 103 Upper Fifteenmile Creek Road, Wingett Run, reported around 12:30 pm she watched as an unknown male entered and drove off in her husband’s 2001 Ford Explorer. Lt. Rhodes later determined the vehicle was repossessed and not stolen.

On 29 Jan 12 Debra E. Pritchett, age 54, 485 Dana’s Run Road, Newport, reported her family owns a vacant trailer they use for storage at 240 Kerr Run Road, Newport, and at some point during the past two weeks an unknown suspect(s) entered the trailer. In addition to stealing an old generator and a transmission, the suspect(s) knocked holes in the walls in an attempt to remove wiring. This case remains under investigation (1184).

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joshua Warren Sheatsley, age 29, 2385 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Sheatsley was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jan 12 at 2:14 am.
