On 18 Jan 12 Katherine Bartimus, age 30, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, reported she was assaulted by her neighbor, Clint O. Porter, age 46, 2288 Sealy Ridge Road. Ms. Bartimus had just returned home from a shopping trip with Mr. Porter’s wife Julia, age 45, when Mr. Porter instigated a confrontation. Appearing highly intoxicated, Mr. Porter began arguing with his wife and drew his fist in a threatening manner. Ms. Bartimus stepped between the two, at which point Mr. Porter struck her in the nose with an open hand. Ms. Bartimus then forced Mr. Porter out of her home and onto her porch where he began throwing items at her home. Questioned about the incident, Mrs. Porter said her husband’s actions caused her to fear for her safety and that she believed her husband would have struck her if Ms. Bartimus did not intervene. Consequently, Lt. Rhodes arrested Mr. Porter for assault and domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

While she sought refuge in a locked bathroom, Ms. Wolfe stated Mr. Scott repeatedly pounded on the door and threatened to kill her. Based on Ms. Wolfe’s statement, Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Mr. Scott for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
