On 11 Jan 12 the driver of an unknown vehicle either backed into or drove into the driveway at 12685 Veto Road, Marietta, and struck a 2011 Toyota Camry owned by the home’s resident, Angela Hooper, age 44. The impact caused substantial damage to the rear of Ms. Hooper’s vehicle and pushed it forward in the garage and into a metal bar causing minor damage to the front of the car. This incident remains under investigation (1293).

On 11 Jan 12 Cindy Clum, age 50, 110 Summserset Drive, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a digital camera, a Nintendo DXL and a game, a portable DVD player, ten DVDs and a pair of Bose headphones. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 11 Jan 12 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart arrested Chad C. Hudnell, age 37, 8630 Haines Ridge Road, Athens, for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Responding to a report of a subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle, Deputy Lockhart found Mr. Hudnell asleep in the parking lot of Marathon on Arrowhead Road in Little Hocking. Deputy Lockhart roused Mr. Hudnell after several attempts and noticed he had a strong odor of alcohol. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests, Mr. Hudnell was transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Hudnell refused a BAC test.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Stacey Marie Glass, age 22, 11430 Jackson Street, Warren, MI, for OVI, for not wearing a seat belt and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Glass was arrested in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jan 12 at 12:01 am.

Chad Charles Hudnell, age 37, 8630 Haines Ridge Road, Athens, for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Hudnell was arrested at Marathon in Belpre by Sgt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jan 12 at 7:14 am.

Christopher Lee Payne, age 25, 314 Harmar Street, Marietta, for theft, criminal trespassing and for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Payne was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jan 12 at 10:03 am.

Lori Lynn Leedy, age 47, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent, for breach of recognizance, domestic violence and for two counts of for violating the terms of a protection order, all misdemeanors. Leedy was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Hansen of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jan 12 at 11:50 am.

Joshua Eugene Taylor, age 30, 99 ½ Raspberry Drive, Walker, WV, for a felony charge of making terroristic threats and a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Taylor was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jan 12 at 12:55 pm.

Scott Alan Lindsley, age 33, 17844 Brookside Drive, Spring Lake, MI, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Lindsley was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jan 12 at 2:11 pm.
