On 9 Jan 12 Betty D. Hawkins, age 72, 537 Swift Road, Waterford, reported a neighbor, who was concerned for her safety, phoned her at 4:30 am after she witnessed a truck driving through her yard. Locating a muddy truck at a nearby residence, Deputy Sheriff McConnell interviewed a teenager who eventually admitted driving through Mrs. Hawkins’ yard. Mrs. Hawkins declined to pursue charges, only wanting the teenager to repair the damage.

On 9 Jan 12 Laura Seebaugh, age 48, 880 Smith Hill Road, Marietta, reported she believes a female coaxed her adult-aged autistic son into being a payee on her son’s trust account. Ms. Seebaugh stated it appears that the suspect has stolen a large amount of money. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 9 Jan 12 Jessica Legleitner, age 18, 930 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a CD player and a large speaker. This case remains under investigation (507).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Timothy Wesley Moore, age 34, Bartlett, for vandalism, a felony. Moore was picked up in Pennsylvania by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jan 12 at 2:35 pm.

Kristopher Martin Oswald, age 35, 613 Palencia Place, Lakeland, FL, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Oswald was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Heddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jan 12 at 4:39 pm.

Denise Michelle Althaus, age 49, 786 Bethel Ridge Road, Beaver, OH, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Althaus was arrested in Morgan County by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jan 12 at 8:20 pm.
