On 7 Jan 12 a thirty-three year old Williamstown resident reported his sixteen year old daughter, who lives in Marietta, received a number of threatening messages on her Facebook account. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 7 Jan 12 Stephen Buck, age 55, 7400 Stanleyville Road, Whipple, reported sometime during the past twenty-four hours an unknown suspect(s) entered buildings on an abandoned farm he owns at 2755 Whipple Run Road. Of the two buildings entered, Mr. Buck said the only items stolen were from an old barn. The stolen items include copper wiring, an aluminum car engine and transistor radio equipment. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 7 Jan 12 Toni M. Hess, age 28, 2202 Hill Street Apt. H, Belpre, reported shortly after a friend left her home that morning she noticed $5 and approximately ten Adderall pills were missing from her purse. This case remains under investigation (707).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Todd Bailey, age 36, 10260 State Route 550, Vincent, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Bailey was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Jan 12 at 10:35 am.

Joseph Henry Brockwell, age 56, 313 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Brockwell was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Jan 12 at 1:12 pm.
