On 4 Jan 12 Deputy Sheriff McConnell requested a summons for a seventeen year old Belpre resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The teenager’s mother reported the previous evening that her son left home without permission and did not return. She said she believed her son ran away to avoid a court appearance that was the consequence of violating his probation by failing a drug test.

On 4 Jan 12 Stanley Barker, age 54, 14761 State Route 555, Cutler, reported he believes the brother of his estranged wife contacted him on her behalf in violation of a protection order he has against her. Deputy Sheriff Anderson questioned the suspect, who said he was only trying to aide his sister and that she was unaware that he contacted Mr. Barker. As a result, Deputy Anderson closed this case as unfounded.

On 4 Jan 12 George Esparza, age 69, 15940 State Route 821, Macksburg, reported he purchased a video camera, laptop computer, teleprompter and tripod to set up an online business and a local woman he hired to assist him and the woman departed the area with the equipment. Mr. Esparza attempted to contact the suspect but she has not responded to his requests. This case remains under investigation (610).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Dallas Willey Farnsworth, age 38, Marietta, for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Jan 12 at 2:25 am.

Robert F. Gunderman III, age 48, 1214 Lockwood Street Apt. A, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Gunderman was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Jan 12 at 12:19 pm.

Jessica Dawn Beaver, age 29, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 2B, New Matamoras, for criminal damaging, a misdemeanor. Beaver was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Freed of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Jan 12 at 7:14 pm.
