On 27 Dec 11 Norman Wynn, age 80, 2515 Bender
Road, Marietta, reported he recently discovered fifteen checks
were missing from his checkbook. The suspect, believed to be
a family member of Mr. Wynn, subsequently forged three of the
checks and cashed them for a total of $450. This case remains
under investigation (610).
On 27 Dec 11 Lt. Hornbeck arrested Dustin Marcum,
age 19, 27335 State Route 7 Lot 8, Marietta, for domestic violence
and for underage consumption o alcohol. Mr. Marcum arrived at
his residence intoxicated and was bickering and fighting with
a friend when his father intervened. Mr. Marcum then directing
his rage at his father and punched him several times in the
face and body. Questioned by Lt. Hornbeck, Mr. Marcum admitted
consuming vodka earlier in the evening and smoking both marijuana
and synthetic marijuana.
On 27 Dec 11 Trent Stevens, age 35, 1239 Eastman
Street, Zanesville, reported he spent the night at a friend’s
home on State Route 555 in Cutler and when he awoke he discovered
his 1998 Honda Accord was missing. The vehicle was later found
behind a vacant house on Harmar Street in Marietta and appeared
to have been involved in a crash. This case remains under investigation
On 27 Dec 11 Deputy Sheriff Mankins and the
Barlow and Dunham fire departments were dispatched to a fire
at the residence of Andy R. Lance, age 24, at 2378 Sealy Ridge
Road, Vincent. The fire engulfed the mobile home while Mr. Lance
and his son were visiting a neighbor’s residence. The
State Fire Marshal was summoned to ascertain the cause of the
On 27 Dec 11 Bibbianna Powell, age 27, 118
Pineview Drive, Marietta, reported she had been arguing with
her husband, Raymond McCarthy, age 28, for the past day and
when she returned home from work the arguments recommenced.
Ms. Powell said she attempted to leave the home to avoid further
problems but her husband grabbed her by the arm and stated “if
she wanted to leave then they were all going to die.”
He then turned on two burners on their gas stove but later turned
them off and stated he was joking. Finally able to flee, Ms.
Powell escaped and phoned for help. Based on his investigation,
Deputy Sheriff Metts arrested Mr. McCarthy for domestic violence
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

Brian Russell Morgan Jr., age 29, 210 Franklin
Street, Marietta, for domestic violence and assault, both misdemeanors.
Morgan was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hickey of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Dec 11 at 1:18 am.
.Douglas Gene Snider Sr., age 58, 110 Spurlock
Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear and for contempt for
failing to pay fines, both misdemeanors. Snider was picked up
at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Malone
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec 11 at
Raymond Paul McCarthy, age 28, 118 Pineview
Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McCarthy
was arrested at her residence by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Dec 11 at 1:40 pm.
Thomas Eugene Fellure Jr., age 29, 803 Virginia
Avenue, Parkersburg, for theft and vandalism, both felonies.
Fellure was picked up at the Western Regional Jail by Deputy
Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 27 Dec 11 at 3:42 pm.
Dustin Tyler Marcum, age 19, 27335 State Route
7 Lot 8, Marietta, for domestic violence and for violating the
terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Marcum was arrested
at his residence by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Dec
11 at 9:53 pm.
