Archive of 12-19-11

On 19 Dec 11 an employee of Dean Decker and Son reported at some point during the past two days an unknown suspect(s) cut the locks of a gate and four storage buildings at the business’ storage location on Hoover Road in Vincent. The employee said the suspect(s) stole a large radiator, pieces of aluminum and steel pipe, copper wiring, bronze spacers and other aluminum items. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 19 Dec 11 Lt. Gherke and the Devola, Fearing, Lowell and Salem fire departments were dispatched to a fire at the residence of Michael Pytlik, age 50, at 1303 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell. Mr. Pytlik departed his residence at 9 am that morning and when he returned an hour and a half later he observed smoke emanating from the kitchen area of the home. Though the fire’s origin appears to be accidental in nature, the State Fire Marshal was contacted to conduct an investigation. The fire caused substantial damage to the home.

On 19 Dec 11 the Newport Fire Department transported Francisco Vicente-Martinez, age 46, Carbondale, IL, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment following a fall at Haessley Hardwood Lumber, 25 Sheets Run Road, Marietta. Mr. Martinez was on a ladder drilling holes above a door when the ladder shifted in gravel and caused him to fall between eight and twelve feet. Mr. Martinez did not suffer any broken bones but was being treated for a bleed in his head (594).

On 19 Dec 11 Penny Barker, age 42, 711 Sixth Street, Saint Marys, reported she was incarcerated briefly following an altercation with her husband earlier this month and at some point during that time she believes a family member stole a number of Flexeril and Vicodin pills from her former resident on State Route 555 in Cutler. This case remains under investigation (597).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Wayne Allman, age 29, 9531 Federal Road, Cutler, for a felony charge of domestic violence and a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Allman turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 11 at 12:01 pm.

Ashley Lenee Dunn, age 25, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 2F, New Matamoras, for theft, a misdemeanor. Dunn was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Freed of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 11 at 5:59 pm.

Roger Allen Spurlock Sr., age 48, 7880 Bulaville Pike, Gallipolis, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Spurlock was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 11 at 8:25 pm.
