On 16 Dec 11 Kristina P. Howard, age 22, 8620
Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, reported when her husband Dustin,
age 25, arrived home from work he was still angry due to the
fact that the two had been arguing intermittently for the past
several days. Mrs. Howard said her husband was walking up a
flight of stairs followed by their two year old child and at
one point stuck his foot out in the child’s direction.
Fearing her husband may kick the girl down the stairs, Mrs.
Howard retrieved the child and sought refuge behind a locked
door until help could arrive. Mrs. Howard said at the time she
feared her husband would cause physical harm to the child. Additionally,
the evening before Mrs. Howard said her husband narrowly missed
her when he threw a piece of plywood at her. Based on his investigation,
Deputy Carr arrested Mr. Howard for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 16 Dec 11 Lt. Hornbeck arrested James Andrews,
age 26, 90 Barrett-South Road, Vincent, for domestic violence,
resisting arrest and obstructing official business. When Mr.
Andrews’ mother, Terri McGoye, age 51, confronted him
for allegedly fabricating weapons in his bedroom, Mr. Andrews
swung a metal at his mother and punched her in the chest. Ms.
McGoye said her son believed four individuals were en route
to fight him and was making weapons to use in the fight. Mr.
Andrews was uncooperative with the Deputies at the scene and
had to be tasered twice before the three Deputies at the scene
were able to place him in custody.
On 16 Dec 11 Dale Fletcher, age 58, 128 Buells
Circle, Marietta, reported he recently discovered three unauthorized
charges on his debit card account. Further investigation revealed
one of the charges and likely the other two were made by Mr.
Fletcher’s son, who is an authorized user on the account.
Stating he believed his son lied to him about making the charges,
Mr. Fletcher declined to pursue the matter further (1007).
On 16 Dec 11 Connie J. Smith, age 44, 1715
Sandhill Road, Marietta, reported sometime between 10 am and
midnight an unknown suspect(s) entered a storage building on
her property. Ms. Smith was unsure what property was missing
and was going to take inventory of items in the building. This
case remains under investigation (208).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Doreen Ann Freeman, age 52, 35332 Hanson Road,
Beverly, for theft and for driving under a suspended license,
both misdemeanors. Freeman was arrested at her residence by
Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 16 Dec 11 at 12:32 am.
Scott Anthony Daniels, age 22, 1110 Neil Street,
Parkersburg, for a felony charge of burglary and misdemeanor
charges of violating the terms of a protection order and resisting
arrest. Daniels was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Hunter of
the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 16 Dec 11 at 12:58 am.
Justin David McCumbers, age 27, 5922 State
Route 555, Little Hocking, for .08 breath OVI, failure to signal
and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. McCumbers
was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 16 Dec 11 at 2:00 am.
Derick Michael Zimmerman, age 22, 96 Salster
Road, Fleming, for contempt of a court order, a felony. Zimmerman
turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 16 Dec 11 at 2:48 pm.
Matthew Alan McKitrick, age 18, State Route
218, Gallipolis, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. McKitrick was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 16 Dec 11 at 5:09 pm.
James Ryan Andrews, age 26, 90 Barrett-South
Road, Vincent, for domestic violence, resisting arrest and obstructing
official business, all misdemeanors. Andrews was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 16 Dec 11 at 9:06 pm.
Dustin Paul Howard, age 25, 8620 Dalzell Road,
Lower Salem, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Howard was
arrested at his residence by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 16 Dec 11 at 10:54 pm.
