Archive of 11-26-11

On 26 Nov 11 an employee of Frito Lay, 150 Ayers Boulevard, Belpre, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) broke a window on three delivery vehicles. The suspect(s) gained entry into two vehicles but were unable to access items in the storage area of the vehicles. This case remains under investigation (684).

On 26 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff McConnell and the Little Hocking Fire Department were dispatched to a coal fire at the Price Inland Terminal at 1682 State Route 618, Belpre. An employee at the plant stated the coal occasionally ignites when various conditions are met and that there was not a substantial loss of coal or property damage due to the fire. The fire was extinguished without incident.

On 26 Nov 11 the owner of ECH Transport, 7110 Veto Road, Belpre, reported sometime between 23 Nov and 26 Nov an unknown suspect(s) entered the business and stole a number of tools. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 26 Nov 11 an employee of Par Mar, 3355 State Route 821, Marietta, reported the driver of a silver vehicle drove off without paying for $30.01 in gasoline. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 26 Nov 11 Pamela Price, age 49, 239 Culver Run Road, Waterford, reported she was involved in an argument with her husband, Danny, age 53, that began late the previous evening and continued into the early morning hours. Arguing over their children, Mrs. Price said her husband threatened to kill her, which caused her to fear for her own and her children’s safety. Consequently, Sgt. Norman arrested Mr. Price for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail. Mr. Price was also charged with being in possession of a firearm while under disability after Sgt. Norman determined a burglary conviction precluded him from owning a .50 caliber muzzle loader that was found in the home.

On 26 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Carr issued a citation to Tammie S. Kerns, age 45, 177 Hollywood Drive, Little Hocking, for traveling 71 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Carr stopped Ms. Kerns on US 50 near Drag Strip Road in Belpre Township.

On 26 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Carr issued a citation to Tasha K. Mitchell, age 21, 3261 School House Road, Little Hocking, for traveling 74 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Carr stopped Ms. Mitchell on US 50 near Drag Strip Road in Belpre Township.

On 26 Nov 11 the Devola Fire Department transported Donald Frampton, age 75, 129 Seneca Drive, Marietta, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to an injury on his left hand. Mr. Frampton was using a table saw when he severed his ringer and suffered a severe cut on his middle finger. Mr. Frampton was scheduled to see specialists for further treatment and evaluation (208).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Brant James Hill, age 68, 4737 Erie Avenue SW, Navarre, OH, for OVI and for driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors. Hill was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Nov 11 at 12:20 pm.

Danny Lee Price, age 53, 239 Culver Run Road, Waterford, for a felony charge of possessing a firearm while under disability and a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Price was arrested in Waterford by Sgt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Nov 11 at 12:55 pm.

Jason Eugene Wolfe, age 39, 1200 Park Avenue Apt. 9, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wolfe was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Nov 11 at 9:41 pm.

Nichole Jo Rayburn, age 32, 6245 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for OVI, failure to control, for allowing a passenger to ride in a truck bed and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Rayburn was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Nov 11 at 10:22 pm.
