On 23 Nov 11 Paul E. Stock, age 43, 255 Front Drive, New Matamoras, reported he departed his residence at 5:40 pm and when he returned two hours later he discovered a jar of change and his wife’s prescription bottle of hydrocodone were missing from his home. This case remains under investigation (1007).

On 23 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to Michelle C. Carsner, age 51, 29060 Houston Road, Little Hocking, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Smeeks originally stopped Ms. Carsner for speeding near milepost five on State Route 339 in Dunham Township.

On 23 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued a citation to Chad R. Lee, age 28, 2171 Gibbs Road, Shade, OH, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Lockhart originally stopped Mr. Lee for speeding on State Route 7 near Tower Road in Belpre Township.

On 23 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Kevin W. Jackson, age 24, 903 Phillips Street, Marietta, for traveling 74 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Jackson on US 50 in Belpre Township.

On 23 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Brennan M. Holshu, age 23, 129 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Holshu on State Route 7 near Bender Road in Warren Township.

On 23 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Jared T. Schlicher, age 31, 530 Fifth Street, Marietta, for traveling 80 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Schlicher on US 50 near Farson Street in Belpre Township.

On 23 Nov 11 Steven M. Rice, age 50, 384 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, reported his wife, Tracy, age 41, entered a wooded area behind their home in search of their dog and had not been seen for several hours. Mrs. Rice later found her way out of the woods and phoned her family from a residence on State Route 530. Mrs. Rice did not appear to be injured but was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to exposure due to the cold (1184).

On 23 Nov 11 Penelope R. Miller, age 67, 107 Iroquois Drive Apt. 1, Marietta, reported she either misplaced her prescription bottle of Percocet pills or they were stolen when she briefly forgot her coat while shopping that afternoon. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 23 Nov 11 a caller reported observing what appeared to be malnourished dogs at a residence on Phillips Street in Marietta. At the alleged suspect’s residence, Deputy Sheriff Schubert observed one of the dogs was healthy and the other was slightly underweight and limping. Informed the dog was previously seen by a veterinarian, Deputy Schubert advised the owner to seek follow up care from the veterinarian.

On 23 Nov 11 Debra Sayres, age 53, 147 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, reported at some point since the beginning of October a Chevy engine block belonging to her son was stolen from a storage building on her property. This case remains under investigation (592).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

James Anthony Boersma, age 35, 1528 NW 42nd Street, Oklahoma City, OK, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Boersma was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Nov 11 at 5:36 am.

Anthony Roger Fulton, age 21, 523 Second Street Apt. 1, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Fulton was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Nov 11 at 2:19 pm.

William Ray Adams, age 36, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent, for felony charges of theft and breaking and entering and a misdemeanor charge of theft. Adams was arrested in Barlow by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Nov 11 at 2:51 pm.
