On 21 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Underwood issued a citation to Alec A. Borlin, age 18, 34550 Ada Drive, Solon, OH, for traveling 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Underwood stopped Mr. Borlin on State Route 7 near milepost eleven in Dunham Township.

On 21 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Underwood issued a citation to John D. Hirsch, age 21, 34400 Ada Drive, Solon, OH, for traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Underwood stopped Mr. Hirsch on State Route 7 near milepost thirteen in Warren Township.

On 21 Nov 11 Robyn R. Tullius, age 47, 481 Elk Run Road, Beverly, reported her family heard her son’s truck start at 9:40 pm and when they looked for it outside it was missing. Upon searching for the vehicle, Ms. Tullius said they discovered the truck was driven through their yard and garden before being crashed into the side of their barn. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 21 Nov 11 the construction foreman at the Broughton complex on State Route 821 in Marietta reported when his crew arrived at the site after having a day off they discovered two windows were removed from a building and four shutters were stolen from nearby. The total value of the stolen property is over $500. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 21 Nov 11 a fire extinguisher accidentally discharged in the gymnasium of St. John’s Elementary school after being unintentionally dislodged from a wall during a recess period. Two adults drove themselves to Marietta Memorial as a precaution, one because she was pregnant and the other because she felt slight irritation in her throat. The children’s parents were notified that the fire extinguisher’s chemicals were non-toxic but may cause a slight stomach ache (507).

On 21 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider responded to the scene of death of an eighty-six year old New Matamoras resident. The man’s death appears to be due to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Tor Lamont Hill Jr., age 19, 1104 26th Street Apt. 1, Parkersburg, for burglary, a felony. Hill was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 11 at 11:24 am.

Christopher Lee Hinton, age 26, Route 1 Box 87, Cairo, WV, for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, all misdemeanors. Hinton was arrested near milepost fourteen on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 11 at 5:25 pm.

Robert Matthew Parrish, age 35, 76 Hazelwood Road, Marietta, for aggravated burglary, a felony. Parrish was picked up at the Toledo Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 11 at 5:16 pm.

Edward Thomas Smith, age 25, 505 Railroad Street, Caldwell, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 11 at 5:39 pm.

Shawn Eric Anderson, age 25, 205 Third Street Lot 7, Beverly, for domestic violence, aggravated menacing and assault, all misdemeanors. Anderson was arrested on Fifth Street by Patrolman Schaad of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 11 at 7:29 pm.
