On 20 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Metts issued a citation to Channing C. Reynolds, age 22, 105 Groves Avenue, Marietta, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license. Deputy Metts stopped Mr. Reynolds for having a broken taillight on Washington Street near Second Street in Marietta.

On 20 Nov 11 the Sheriff’s Office investigated a burglary at the residence of Cathy Comerci, 752 Clark Road, Cutler. The investigation revealed an unknown suspects(s) forced entry into her residence and broke open a safe containing jewelry and other valuable items. This case is under investigation.

On 20 Nov 11 the Sheriff’s Office received a call from Brandon Berine, 278 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, concerning a four wheeler wreck. The victim, William F. Lyons, age 51, PO Box 1312, Crestview, FL was test driving a four wheeler at that location when he struck a culvert, flipped over the hand bars and was pinned under the ATV. The Lowell-Adams Emergency Squad transported him to the Trauma Unit at Marietta Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

On 20 Nov 11 Rebecca N. Townsend, age 30, 2214 SR 550, Bartlett, reported her husband Kevin A. Townsend, age 31, punched her in the face and head and pushed her up the stairs, causing her to sustain serious injuries. Mr. Townsend also fired a shot from a .45 caliber handgun into a computer, destroying the computer, while his wife and their children were in the same room. The Wesley Fire Department transported Mrs. Townsend to Camden Clark Memorial Hospital where she is being treated for injuries. Mr. Townsend was arrested for aggravated menacing and domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail (608).

On 20 Nov 11 the Sheriff’s Office received report stating a hunter had flipped a four wheeler on top of himself on property at 2100 Upper Fifteen Mile Creek Road, Liberty Township. The victim, Christopher Goebel, age 49, who resides at the address, was attempting to pull a recently killed deer out of a gulley with a rope attached to an ATV when the rope caught on a tree root and caused the ATV to flip backwards. Goegel was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital by the Little Muskingum Fire Department, where he remains in stable condition.

On 20 Nov 11 Billy Jo Mowery, age 32, 1936 Barth Road, Belpre, reported her boyfriend’s twin brother was visiting her residence and refused to leave when she asked him. Ms. Mowery said the suspect is a larger and intimidating man and scares her. Only wanting the suspect to leave, Ms. Mowery declined to pursue charges in the matter (608).

On 20 Nov 11 a sixteen year old Caldwell resident reported at some point during the past two weeks a tree stand was stolen from where he placed it on his aunt’s property at 16750 State Route 821, Macksburg. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 20 Nov 11 Wanda F. Sweat, age 60, 658 Federal Road, Little Hocking, reported she was involved in an altercation with her husband, Jeffrey W. Parrish, age 54, at their residence that evening. Angry that his wife went to see a movie with a male friend, Mr. Parrish threw a rage at Ms. Sweat’s face and overturned a table while she was sitting on the corner of it. Mrs. Sweat said her husband threatened her during the incident, as he has done in the past, and that she feared for her safety. Consequently, Deputy Sheriff Anderson arrested Mr. Parrish for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Aisia Nicole Ford, age 26, 81 Powell Drive Apt. 31, Parkersburg, for driving under a suspended license, failing to maintain assured clear distance and for two counts of hit-skip, all misdemeanors. Ford was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 11 at 1:37 am.

Jessica Lee Sprouse, age 20, 81 Powell Drive Apt. 31, Parkersburg, for carrying a concealed weapon and criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors. Sprouse was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 11 at 2:35 am.

Aimee Elise Kincaid, age 18, 2881 Westland Road, Stockport, for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Kincaid was arrested near milepost eleven on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 11 at 3:06 am.

Jeremy Warrior Coleman, age 26, 7188 Dale Road, Stockport, for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, a felony. Coleman was arrested near milepost eleven on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 11 at 3:38 am.

Kevin Allen Townsend, age 31, 2214 State Route 550, Bartlett, for domestic violence and aggravated menacing, both misdemeanors. Townsend was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 11 at 3:00 pm.

Polly Elizabeth Oblisk, age 57, 726 ½ Third Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Oblisk was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 11 at 7:24 pm.

Jeffrey Weldon Parrish, age 54, 658 Federal Road, Little Hocking, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Parrish was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 11 at 10:19 pm.
