On 15 Nov 11 a thirty-two year old Waterford resident reported an acquaintance continues to send her text messages despite her repeated requests for her to cease sending them. This case remains under investigation (296).

On 15 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriffs Anderson and Mankins responded to a report of a Devola resident threatening to harm himself. Located outside his home, the individual appeared highly intoxicated but was cooperative. He admitted consuming nearly a fifth of grain alcohol and smoking synthetic marijuana earlier in the evening. Deputy Anderson later transported the man to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation. Drug charges will likely be filed upon completion of tests on the synthetic marijuana found in the home.

On 15 Nov 11 an employee of a car hauling business owned by Alan Lemon Jr. at 25 Tower Road, Little Hocking, reported when he arrived at the business that morning he discovered a broken window. Checking various locations at the business, employees discovered a forty inch television, a children’s ATV and a Honda generator were missing. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at $1,000. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 15 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Underwood requested a warrant for Cyrus L. Dunfee, age 31, 27725 Cincinnati Ridge Road, Coolville, for menacing by stalking. Mr. Dunfee’s ex-girlfriend, a twenty-nine year old Marietta resident, reported she received several text messages from Mr. Dunfee indicating he was watching her home. Specifically, Mr. Dunfee sent text messages commenting about his ex-girlfriend turning the lights in her home on and off. The victim said Mr. Dunfee has assaulted her in the past and the previous day he admitted dumping a bag of deer innards on her driveway.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

James Kenton Webb, age 34, 410 Cramer Drive, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Webb was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 11 at 1:56 am.

David Wayne Armstrong, age 23, Bellaire, OH, for two felony counts of failure to appear. Armstrong was arrested on Third Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 11 at 12:42 pm.

Holly Anne Payton, age 34, 727 Stewart Avenue, Cambridge, for nonsupport of dependants. Payton was picked up at the Guernsey County Jail by Deputy Sheriff Deem and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 11 at 2:45 pm.

Jay William Rake, age 20, 721 ½ Fourth Street, Marietta, for breach of recognizance and for two counts of theft, all misdemeanors. Rake was arrested on Fourth Street by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 11 at 4:39 pm.

Mark Bengermen Moyers, age 28, 965 State Route 550, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Moyers was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 11 at 5:32 pm.
