Archive of 11-12-11

On 12 Nov 11 Brandon Howard, age 25, 5101 Stanleyville Road, Whipple, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) removed three brass fittings from two antique engines he has stored on his property. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 12 Nov 11 Lt. Gherke, Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and the Belpre, Coolville, Dunham and Little Hocking fire departments were dispatched to a fire at the home of Daniel K. McKatee, age 48, at 4274 Newbury Road, Little Hocking. Mr. McKatee was asleep around 8 pm when he awoke to a popping noise and a neighbor pounding on his door. Escaping unharmed, Mr. McKatee said the fire damaged eighty percent of his home before being extinguished. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental and possibly caused by smoldering debris from a burn pile Mr. McKatee started earlier in the day.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mark Eugene Perine, age 30, 629 Fourth Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Perine was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Nov 11 at 8:35 am.

Larry Eugene Stevens, age 42, 1585 ½ Coal Street, Chesterhill, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Stevens was picked up at the Morgan County Jail by Sgt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Nov 11 at 11:17 am.

Richard Dexter Arnett, age 67, 518 Aurora Street, Paden City, WV, for theft, a misdemeanor. Arnett was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Nov 11 at 2:58 pm.
