On 6 Nov 11 a neighbor reported hearing what sounded like a domestic altercation at 1210 Drag Strip Road, Belpre. At the scene, Deputy Sheriff Underwood interviewed Dakota Lawson, age 18, who said he was blowing off steam outside because he caught his girlfriend cheating on him. Mr. Lawson’s mother verified his story, stating that no altercation took place. However, Deputy Underwood arrested Mr. Lawson for violating the terms of a protection order. The order was issued following a prior incident between Mr. Lawson and his mother and forbade Mr. Lawson from being in contact with his mother.

On 6 Nov 11 Rhonda L. Beebe, age 42, 306 Third Street, Beverly, reported between 6:45 and 7:00 that evening an unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window of her vehicle. This case remains under investigation (790).

While on patrol late the previous evening, Deputy McConnell noticed a vehicle with foggy windows parked near the basketball courts on River Road in Devola. When he spoke to the vehicle’s occupants Deputy McConnell noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana. Deputy McConnell also observed marijuana buds on the floor of the vehicle and marijuana leaves stuck to the teenagers’ clothing. From the juveniles Deputy McConnell confiscated a roach clip, rolling papers, two marijuana pipes and a small quantity of marijuana.

On 6 Nov 11 an individual reported his neighbor, Pamela Gereshenski, age 43, 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 4, Marietta, was bleeding from a head wound. Receiving treatment at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Ms. Gereshenski, who appeared intoxicated, said she fell while getting out of bed and struck her head on a table. Confirming the sequence of events with Mrs. Gereshenski’s husband, Lt. Hornbeck closed this case as unfounded domestic violence.

On 6 Nov 11 Thomas J. Dowler, age 38, 3948 Lost Pavement Road, Parkersburg, was life-flighted to OSU Medical Center following a motorcycle crash at the Wildwood Lake Race Track in Decatur Township. Mr. Dowler misjudged his landing after encountering a ramp on the track, flipped over his motorcycle’s handlebars and landed on his head. Losing consciousness for nearly five minutes, Mr. Dowler was responsive but confused and slurring his speech prior to being transported. His current condition is unknown (610).
