On 3 Nov 11 Jennifer K. Thornton, age 38, 15374 State Route 555, Cutler, reported sometime between 7 am and 6 pm that day an unknown suspect(s) stole two ATVs from a storage building on her property. The ATVs are fairly new and Ms. Thornton estimates their total value is $5,500. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 3 Nov 11 an individual reported an unknown suspect(s) entered his mother’s residence at 2217 Blue Knob Road, Marietta. The complainant said his mother, Tracy Richards, age 65, has been away from the residence for several days and the home was in disarray while being cleaned by relatives but no items appear to be missing. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 3 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Holbert requested a warrant for Anthony C. Williams, age 38, 313 Fourth Street, Lowell, for theft of a motor vehicle. Mr. Williams’ girlfriend’s mother, Garnet Schau, age 48, 1195 Sandhill Road, Marietta, was storing the vehicle outside Mr. Williams’ residence and did not give anyone permission to use the vehicle. Though the vehicle was taken by Mr. Williams the morning of 2 Nov, Ms. Schau decided to allow Mr. Williams twenty-four hours to return the vehicle. Ms. Schau’s grace period elapsed and Mr. Williams had yet to return.

On 3 Nov 11 William Hitchcock, age 54, 20205 State Route 676, Marietta, reported at some point during the past ten days an unknown suspect(s) stole a large aluminum toolbox from his property. Mr. Hitchcock stated the toolbox contained various Craftsman tools and Lucas oil supplies and said the items are worth approximately $600. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 3 Nov 11 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider responded to a report of an intoxicated driver who attempted to flee 6440 State Route 26, Marietta after assaulting another subject. En route to the location, Deputy Caltrider observed a truck sideways in the roadway. The suspect, Jeffery Parker, age 46, 3730 State Route 26, Marietta, was walking along the road and complied with Deputy Caltrider’s command to stop. Appearing intoxicated, Mr. Parker was unsteady on his feet, slurred his speech and had a strong odor of alcohol. Mr. Parker admitted consuming a pint of alcohol that evening and getting his truck stuck in a ditch as he attempted to drive away from the scene. The assault victim, William Rivera, age 31, 619 Tenth Street Apt. B, Marietta, stated he and his wife were camping at the location and visiting with Mr. Parker when he accused them of stealing a pack of his cigarettes. Mr. Rivera stated Mr. Parker grabbed him by the neck and punched him multiple times before releasing him. Consequently, Deputy Caltrider arrested Mr. Parker for OVI and assault and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 3 Nov 11 John Wise, age 63, 958 Cedar Ridge Road, Lowell, reported he and his wife were away from their residence for two hours that evening and at some point during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) entered their home. Mr. Wise said a number of valuables were undisturbed but two shotguns, a muzzle loader, a bow and several arrows were stolen. This case remains under investigation (208).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Justin Allen Harris, age 29, 838 Front Street Apt. A, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Harris was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Nov 11 at 3:03 am.

Jeffery Dean Parker, age 46, 3730 State Route 26, Marietta, for OVI and assault, both misdemeanors. Parker was arrested on State Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Nov 11 at 3:29 am.

Keith Allen Nibert, age 49, 211 Center Street, Waterford, for two felony counts of failure to register a change of address as a registered sex offender. Nibert was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Spencer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Nov 11 at 12:14 pm.

Jacob Andrew Wood, age 25, 106 Briargate Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Wood was arrested at his residence by Detective Schuck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Nov 11 at 4:30 pm.
