On 17 Oct 11 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider requested a summons for Joseph W. Myers, age 34, 115 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. Irate that fire trucks were blocking the road while firefighters extinguished a tire fire at 116 Deer Haven Street, Mr. Myers angrily confronted firefighters. Several firefighters said Mr. Myers yelled and cursed at them while they were at the scene.

On 17 Oct 11 Ronald C. Bowling, age 56, 20785 County Road 9, New Matamoras, reported he was away from his residence for four hours that afternoon and at some point during that time an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole a Toshiba laptop computer from his kitchen table. This incident remains under investigation (594).

On 17 Oct 11 Deputy Sheriff Reeder requested a summons for a twelve year old Marietta resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. For the second time since August of this year the teenager ran away from home. When she was returned to her residence from where she was located on Summers Road, the teenager became combative and refused to enter her residence. The teenager was later transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital after her mother reported she made suicidal and suicidal statements, including killing her mother with a knife while she sleeps.

On 17 Oct 11 Michael D. Sims, age 60, 4860 Anderson Road, Fleming, reported he was involved in a minor altercation with his father at his father’s residence at 4976 Anderson Road. Mr. Sims said his father punched him in the mouth during an argument but he did not fear for safety. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Metts closed this case as unfounded.

On 17 Oct 11 Deputy Sheriff Metts requested a summons for a sixteen year old Lowell resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by underage consumption of alcohol. A teacher at the Washington County Career Center reported the student, along with another student, were consuming alcohol in their welding class. The other student was disciplined by his probation officer and the Lowell resident was released to suffer the wrath of his mother. A search of the student’s belongings yielded three empty wine cooler bottles and a full can of Bud Light.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Andrew Michael Russell, age 25, Marietta, for felony charges of burglary and being a fugitive from justice and a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Russell was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 11 at 12:20 am.

Joseph Lee Slider, age 21, Rummer Road, Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Slider was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 11 at 1:06 am.

Cody Allen Wayt, age 20, 449 Market Street, Wheeling, WV, for receiving stolen property, a felony. Wayt was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 11 at 12:05 pm.

Charles David Dennis, age 42, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Dennis was arrested on Warner Street by Patrolman Heddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 11 at 3:30 pm.

Tracie Evonne Newlen, age 37, 108 Main Street, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Newlen was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 11 at 5:26 pm.

Kellie Marie Felter, age 21, 712 Fourth Street, New Matamoras, for domestic violence, a felony. Felter was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Freed of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 11 at 7:46 pm.
