On 10 Oct 11 Gale L. Hall, age 54, 10915 State
Route 550, Barlow, reported her son Matthew R. Moyers, age 34,
242 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 8, Marietta, was at her residence
performing chores that afternoon and at some point during that
time she believes he stole several of her Ambien pills. Confronted
by his sister, Mr. Moyer returned a portion of the pills but
appeared to be intoxicated from ingesting some of the pills.
Mr. Moyers departed the scene and was later involved in a traffic
crash on State Route 550 and arrested for OVI by the Highway
Patrol. Questioned by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks after his arrest,
Mr. Moyers admitted stealing pills from his mother, saying he
stole them because he has a prescription for the drug and could
not afford to refill his own prescription. Consequently, Deputy
Smeeks arrested Mr. Moyers for theft and transported him to
the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Mary Elizabeth McKitrick, age 33, 1308 Williamson
Avenue Apt. B, for burglary and for two counts of theft, all
felonies. McKitrick was arrested on Greene Street in Newport
by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Oct 11 at 12:50 pm.
Matthew Robert Moyers, age 34, 242 Pennsylvania
Avenue Apt. 8, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Moyers was arrested
on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 11 at 8:33 pm.
Joshua Leroy Gore, age 23, 130 Cemetery Drive,
New Matamoras, for theft, a misdemeanor. Gore turned himself
in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Oct 11 at 9:47 pm.
Grayson Jeffrey Gopp, age 19, 1900 Kohl Road,
Whipple, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Gopp was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 11 at
