On 10 Oct 11 Gale L. Hall, age 54, 10915 State Route 550, Barlow, reported her son Matthew R. Moyers, age 34, 242 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 8, Marietta, was at her residence performing chores that afternoon and at some point during that time she believes he stole several of her Ambien pills. Confronted by his sister, Mr. Moyer returned a portion of the pills but appeared to be intoxicated from ingesting some of the pills. Mr. Moyers departed the scene and was later involved in a traffic crash on State Route 550 and arrested for OVI by the Highway Patrol. Questioned by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks after his arrest, Mr. Moyers admitted stealing pills from his mother, saying he stole them because he has a prescription for the drug and could not afford to refill his own prescription. Consequently, Deputy Smeeks arrested Mr. Moyers for theft and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mary Elizabeth McKitrick, age 33, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. B, for burglary and for two counts of theft, all felonies. McKitrick was arrested on Greene Street in Newport by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 11 at 12:50 pm.

Matthew Robert Moyers, age 34, 242 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 8, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Moyers was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 11 at 8:33 pm.

Joshua Leroy Gore, age 23, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, for theft, a misdemeanor. Gore turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 11 at 9:47 pm.

Grayson Jeffrey Gopp, age 19, 1900 Kohl Road, Whipple, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Gopp was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 11 at 10:12 pm.
