On 28 Sep 11 Jessica Green, age 18, 315 Main Street, Waterford, reported she was involved in a dispute with her live-in boyfriend in the morning’s early hours. Accusing her boyfriend of using drugs, Ms. Green said they shouted at each other and briefly shoved each other before separating for the remainder of the evening. Determining neither party feared for their safety, Deputy Sheriff Schubert closed this case as unfounded.

On 28 Sep 11 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to Alan M. Hines, age 41, 32969 Hartshorn Ridge Road, Lewisville, OH, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Smeeks originally stopped Mr. Hines for speeding on State Route 821 near milepost ten in Salem Township.

On 28 Sep 11 Alice M. Corp, age 72, 220 Melody Lane, Marietta, reported she recently noticed $297 was missing from a drawer in her nightstand. Checking other drawers in her bedroom, Ms. Corp concluded two necklaces and three rings were missing as well. This case remains under investigation (1007).

On 28 Sep 11 Lillie B. Singer, age 51, 11827 State Route 555, Cutler, reported she was incarcerated for a period last month and at some point during that time an unknown suspect(s) stole a window air conditioner and an electrical box from her property. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 28 Sep 11 Deputy Sheriff Reeder requested a summons for Josh A. Mettler, age 31, 902 21st Street, Parkersburg, for theft. A clerk at the Pit Stop reported on 19 Sep that Mr. Mettler attempted to pay for $64.51 in gasoline with a check that would not clear. The clerk gave Mr. Mettler a day to pay for the gasoline but he did not return the station. Granted a second extension, Mr. Mettler had still yet to return to pay for his purchase.

On 28 Sep 11 Mark Sargent, age 53, 790 Allman Road, Belpre, reported on 22 Sep he noticed a .22 rifle was missing from his garage and $500 from his nightstand. Mr. Sargent said he suspected a family friend took his property and when he contacted the friend, Erick A. Cline, age 25, 309 Maple Street, Belpre, he returned the rifle. Several days after that Mr. Sargent determined ten of his business checks were missing from his checkbook. Mr. Sargent subsequently found that one of the stolen checks was written to Mr. Cline for $659 and his signature was forged on it. Mr. Sargent said Mr. Cline is aware of where he keeps the checks in his home and knows how to access the inside of the home if no one is present. While Deputy Sheriff Carr was investigating the case Mr. Cline phoned Mr. Sargent and admitted stealing the checks. Mr. Cline claimed an acquaintance forged the check but admitted using the check’s proceeds to purchase heroin. As a result of his investigation, Deputy Carr requested warrants for Mr. Cline for burglary and theft.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Shaun Wesley Sturm, age 26, 307 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Sturm was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Sep 11 at 12:10 am.

Joshua Allen Campbell, age 28, Marietta, for a felony charge of breaking and entering and a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of a protection order. Campbell was arrested in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Sep 11 at 2:09 am.

James Robert McGrath, age 29, PO Box 415, Malta, OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. McGrath was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Sep 11 at 2:33 am.

Lori Lynn Leedy, age 46, 619 Connett Road, Nelsonville, for domestic violence and for violating the terms of a protection order, both misdemeanors. Leedy turned herself in to Major Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Sep 11 at 10:24 am.

John Daniel Davis III, age 35, 102 North Avenue Apt. 13, Plain City, OH, for felonious assault and for a misdemeanor charge of contempt of a court order. Davis was picked up at the Morgan county line by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Sep 11 at 3:34 pm.

Lynsey Brooke Erb, age 24, 1006 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Erb was arrested on State Route 7 by Patrolman Freed of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Sep 11 at 5:45 pm.

Travis Edgar Pasco, age 24, 980 Olloch Hill Road, Lowell, for felony charges of trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Pasco was arrested at Colonial Terrace by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Sep 11 at 5:50 pm.
