Interviewing two males at the scene, the Deputies determined that the alleged suspects were arguing over a woman and no crime occurred involving the two. However, while questioning one of the home’s residents, Constance S. Sargent, age 46, Deputy Mankins observed a wooden box containing a marijuana pipe and two bags of marijuana on a couch in the home. Admitting the contraband belonged to her, Ms. Sargent was arrested for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 24 Sep 11 Deputy Sheriffs Anderson, Mankins and Metts responded to a domestic altercation at the residence of Amy N. Leedy, age 22, at 9552 State Route 550, Vincent. Ms. Leedy reported she has a protection order against her mother, Lori Leedy, age 46, 619 Connett Road, Nelsonville, and her mother was at her home and refused to leave the residence. Appearing to be under the influence of drugs, Lori initiated an argument and charged toward her daughter with a hammer. A third party stepped between the two, at which point Lori produced a knife and began cutting herself. Thereafter, Lori departed the residence and could not be located. Amy stated the incident caused her to fear for her safety and for that of her mother. Therefore, Deputy Anderson requested warrants for Lori for domestic violence and for violating the terms of a protection order.
