On 21 Sep 11 Jeffrey V. Beaver, age 53, 17824 State Route 550, Vincent, reported he has been involved in a property dispute with his elderly neighbor over the use of his driveway and he claimed his attorney sent registered letters ordering his neighbor not to use his driveway. Mr. Beaver said when he arrived home that afternoon he noticed grass and tire tracks on his gravel driveway that were left by the individual his neighbor hired to mow her lawn. The individual mowing the lawn stated he was never informed nor did he receive a letter stating he was to stay off Mr. Beaver’s driveway. This case remains under investigation (1293).

On 21 Sep 11 Lt. Stackpole issued a citation to Travis J. Church, age 32, 138 Betsy Lane, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license and for operating a vehicle with a registration that expired in April 2011. Lt. Stackpole stopped Mr. Church after he observed a passenger in the vehicle throwing a can out the window on State Route 339 near School House Road in Belpre Township.

On 21 Sep 11 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider investigated reports of counterfeit bills being passed at businesses in Newport. Clerks at B&J Carryout, Newport IGA and The Jug reported they recently received either a counterfeit $5 bill or $20 bill. The clerk at B&J said a suspicious female was in the store the previous week and questioned her if the store used a marker to test for counterfeit bills. The fake currency was forwarded to the district Secret Service office for further investigation.

On 21 Sep 11 Lt. Gherke issued a citation to Rebecca S. McCune, age 35, 1366 Patten Mills Road, Cutler, for driving under a suspended license. Lt. Gherke stopped Ms. McCune on State Route 550 near Coffman Road in Warren Township.

On 21 Sep 11 Archie Stegall, age 66, 38430 State Route 618, Albany, OH, reported two years ago he was replacing the roof on a residence he owned in Waterford and he loaned an acquaintance a goose neck trailer to haul away debris. Mr. Stegall said his acquaintance has had the trailer since then and when he attempted to retrieve it he learned the trailer was sold without his permission. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 21 Sep 11 Harold D. Angus III, age 34, 4081 Veto Road, Vincent, reported he was away from his home overnight and at some point during that period an unknown suspect(s) entered his home. From the residence, the suspect(s) stole miscellaneous tools, a thirty inch flat screen television, a Wii system and Mr. Angus’ prescription bottles of Vicodin and Xanax. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 21 Sep 11 Tiffany Robinson, age 25, 109 Chapel Avenue, Marietta, reported she allowed two friends to spend the night in her home two days earlier and she believes one of them may have stolen her digital camera. This case remains under investigation (507).

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Tiffany Jo Hickman, age 25, 1211 North Street, Caldwell, for failure to appear, a felony. Hickman turned herself in to Corrections Officer Farrell and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Sep 11 at 7:38 am.
