On 9 Sep 11 the Barlow Fire Department transported
a forty-five year old Cutler resident to Camden Clark Hospital
for treatment following an overdose on the prescription drug,
Ambien. The victim was reportedly distraught over the death
of a relative and recently released from the hospital after
a previous suicide attempt. The victim was conscious at the
hospital and due to undergo further mental health treatment
On 9 Sep 11 Susan Johnson, age 36, 518 Fifth
Street, Lowell, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s)
poured sugar in the gas tank of her Buick Regatta. Ms. Johnson
said her boyfriend phoned her while she was work and said he
was having his SUV towed because it appeared to have sugar poured
in the gas tank as well. The following morning, 10 Sep, Ms.
Johnson said she and her boyfriend awoke to discover four tires
on her rental car were punctured along with the four tires on
a vehicle her boyfriend borrowed from a friend. This case remains
under investigation (1008).
On 9 Sep 11 James Smith, age 38, 803 Tick Ridge
Road, Vincent, reported when he and his wife arrived home from
the grocery store, smoke rolled out the door. The fire originated
somewhere in the master bedroom and was extinguished by the
Barlow, Belpre and Dunham fire departments. No foul play is
On 9 Sep 11 Twila Holbert, age 64, 14012 State
Route 550, Fleming, reported she is listed as a protected party
on a protection order her grandson obtained following a domestic
dispute with his girlfriend. Mrs. Holbert said her grandson’s
ex-girlfriend phoned her that morning cursed at her and threatened
her several times. This case remains under investigation (1008).
On 9 Sep 11 Ashleigh Shafer, age 20, 1177 Scotts
Ridge Road, Whipple, reported she was at work at Miller’s
AM/PM at 2889 State Route 821, Marietta, when her former boyfriend
drove into the parking lot. Ms. Shafer has a protection order
against her ex-boyfriend and she stated she is terrified of
him. This case remains under investigation (594).

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Zachary Scott Husk, age 21, 736 Greene Street
Apt. 13, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Husk was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 9 Sep 11 at 2:14 pm.
Joshua Heath Proctor, age 28, 630 Salster Road,
Fleming, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Proctor was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Sep 11 at
Darron Desean Nolen, age 22, 22 Ellzey Street,
Pittsburgh, PA, for driving under a suspended license and speeding,
both misdemeanors. Nolen was arrested on State Route 7 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 9 Sep 11 at 10:50 pm.
