On 7 Sep 11 Larry Mount, age 65, 770 State Route 550, Amesville, reported he and his wife left for work around 8 am and when they returned at 7 pm they discovered their bedroom was ransacked and a number of items were missing from various places in the home. Among the items stolen from the bedroom were rolled and collectible coins, jewelry and hunting and collectible knives. From the residence’s garage the unknown suspect(s) stole a chainsaw, a car radio, two tires and rims, two car batteries, a carburetor and a fishing pole. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 7 Sep 11 Sgt. Norman was dispatched to a domestic dispute at 14012 State Route 550, Fleming. Outside of the home, one of the home’s residents, Wayne L. Ruth, age 25, was arguing with his former live-in girlfriend, Jodie D. Miller, age 28, 27360 State Route 7 Lot 28, Marietta, over the paternity of Ms. Miller’s daughter. Mr. Ruth denied being the girl’s father based on an online paternity test but Ms. Miller listed him as the father on the child’s birth certificate. Prior to leaving the scene, Ms. Miller slapped Mr. Ruth across the face and kicked him in the leg. Admitting she slapped Mr. Ruth, MS. Miller was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 7 Sep 11 Deputy Sheriff Schubert requested a warrant for Joshua L. Gore, age 23, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, for theft. Chad Stock, age 18, 257 Front Drive, New Matamoras, reported a dirt bike was stolen from outside his residence on 30 Aug 11. An investigation uncovered a witness who stated he observed Mr. Gore loading the dirt bike onto a trailer pulled by a gold SUV. The witness also stated he also heard Mr. Gore state “I’m stealing his bike” as he walked the motorcycle toward his vehicle.

On 7 Sep 11 Darla Samples, age 56, 2690 Milner Road, Waterford, reported she filled her daily medication dispenser on 3 Sep and when she was about to refill them on 6 Sep she discovered approximately twenty-five Oxycontin pills and twenty-five Nucynta pills were missing from the prescription bottles. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 7 Sep 11 Kendra Gingrich, age 24, 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 4, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) somehow entered her locked vehicle and stole $500 from the center console. This case remains under investigation (805).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ty Edward Woodford, age 43, 42020 Keithtown Road, Caldwell, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Woodford was arrested in Common Pleas Court by Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 11 at 9:37 am.

Blake Mackenzie Keel, age 19, 1666 School House Road, Little Hocking, for using a weapon while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Keel was arrested on State Route 821 in Lower Salem by Deputy Sheriff Schubert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 11 at 11:48 am.

Jodie Dawn Miller, age 28, 27360 State Route 7 Lot 17, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested on State Route 550 by Sgt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Sep 11 at 6:56 pm.
