On 4 Aug 11 a nurse at the Washington County
Home, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, reported she watched
as one resident, Brad I. Bloomfield, age 46, removed a pill
from a plastic bag and handed it to another resident. Prescription
medications are dispensed by employees at the home and its residents
are not to be in possession of any medication. Confronted by
the nurse, Mr. Bloomfield handed the nurse a bag containing
four Percocet pills and a morphine pill. When he was later questioned
by Deputy Sheriff Reeder, Mr. Bloomfield produced a bottle containing
thirty Xanax pills. Consequently, Deputy Reeder arrested Mr.
Bloomfield for two felony counts and one misdemeanor count of
possession of drugs and transported him to the Washington County
Jail. The other resident denied knowing anything about the pills
and asserted that the nurse and the video camera were both liars.
On 4 Aug 11 Denise Hyde, age 47, 46966 State
Route 7, New Matamoras, reported she was involved in an argument
with her brother at her residence that morning. Mrs. Hyde alleged
her brother threatened both her and her husband but the incident
did not escalate to physical violence. The siblings have been
feuding over their parents’ estate for a number of years
and were advised to consult legal counsel to settle their dispute.
Mrs. Hyde declined to pursue charges in the matter (594).
On 4 Aug 11 Amanda L. Mayle, age 24, 2945 Roberts
Road, Amesville, reported when she awoke that morning her 1997
Chevy Cavalier was missing from her driveway. Searching the
area, Ms. Mayle located her vehicle less than a mile from her
home. Though the vehicle was undamaged it was out of gas. This
case remains under investigation (684).

Parkersburg, for contempt for failure to appear at court ordered
hearing on an order to show cause on 19 Jul 11.
Jeffrey Chaney, age 30, 5335 State Route 220
Lot 6, Beverly, for contempt for failure to appear at court
ordered hearing on an order to show cause on 19 Jul 11.
Charles W. Brannon, age 20, 126 Elm Street,
Belpre, for failing to appear for a restitution and probation
hearing on 30 Mar 11.
Thomas Little, age 21, 1407 Station Drive,
Saint Marys, for the theft of a fire ring and scraper blade
on 11 Jun 11.
Corey L. Smearman, age 23, 111 W. Montgomery
Street Lot 10, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve ten
days in jail on 29 Jul 11.
Paula J. Westfall, age 45, Mineral Wells, WV,
for breach of recognizance and for failing to appear to serve
seventeen days in jail on 22 Jul 11.
Jason T. Bailey, age 35, 10260 State Route
550, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation by failing
to appear for a scheduled appointment.
Jeffrey S. Wittekind, age 23, 316 Gilman Street,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license and for operating
a vehicle with an expired registration on 8 Jul 11.
Joshua L. Thompson, age 28, 405 Wirt Street,
Belpre, for failure to appear for a probation violation hearing
on 27 Jul 11.
Robert F. Gunderman, age 47, 1214 Lockwood
Street Apt. A, Belpre, for an assault committed on 28 May 11.
Daniel D. Gaughan, age 45, 106 Fourth Street,
Beverly, for disorderly conduct on 4 Jun 11.
Eric B. Siders, age 22, 6070 Sandhill Road,
Marietta, for failing to appear to serve one day in jail on
22 Jul and another day on 23 Jul 11.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ronnie Dean Price, age 37, 600 Hugh Street,
Parkersburg, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Price was
arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 4 Aug 11 at 3:18 am.
Angela Kay Rowland, age 40, 103 Pennsylvania
Apt. 2, Marietta, for failure to appear and for breach of recognizance,
both misdemeanors. Rowland was arrested in Marietta by Lt. Hornbeck
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Aug 11 at 10:34 am.
Brad Ivan Bloomfield, age 46, 845 County House
Lane, Marietta, for two felony counts of possession of drugs
and one misdemeanor count of possession of drugs. Bloomfield
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Aug 11 at 12:28 pm.
Misty Dawn Winchell, age 29, 9552 State Route
550, Vincent, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Winchell was arrested in Vincent
by Lt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Aug 11 at
