On 1 Aug 11 a passerby reported a male subject was lying in the roadway at the intersection of Garage Lane and High Street in Waterford Township. When Deputy Sheriffs Mankins and Metts arrived at the location the suspect, later identified as Cory Wagner, age 24, 29 A Garage Lane, Waterford, was still lying in the intersection. Near Mr. Wagner the Deputies observed an empty fifth of tequila and a pint jar with very little alcohol in it. Fearing Mr. Wagner may have alcohol poisoning, Deputy Mankins summoned the Beverly-Waterford emergency squad to transport Mr. Wagner to Marietta Memorial Hospital for evaluation. As a result of the investigation, Deputy Mankins requested a summons for Mr. Wagner for disorderly conduct by intoxication.

On 1 Aug 11 the New Matamoras Fire Department transported a twenty year old New Matamoras resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital after a friend of the victim reported the victim ingested eleven Excedrin pills and two handfuls of Tylenol. At the hospital the victim said he has been depressed, has not slept well and was tired of everyone “getting in his business” so he took the pills in an effort to get sleep. The emergency room physician said the victim would be admitted for evaluation but he should recover fully (208).

On 1 Aug 11 Lt. Stackpole requested a summons for a sixteen year old Marietta resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency for committing an offense of public indecency. A neighbor of the teenager reported that last month his ten and eleven year old children were playing in their garage when the teenager came into the garage and removed all of her clothing except her underwear. Though the teenager denied any wrongdoing, the ten and eleven year olds provided the same account when they were interviewed independently.

On 1 Aug 11 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart arrested Robert L. Nolan, age 43, 1615 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Mr. Nolan’s sister reported her brother drank an entire bottle of vodka, was unable to stand up and she was unable to care for him in his state of extreme intoxication. At the Washington County Jail Mr. Nolan tested .228 BAC.

On 1 Aug 11 Sgt. Norman arrested Christopher P. Tatalovich, age 28, 110 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, for gross sexual imposition. A twelve year old Marietta resident reported that morning that she was in a tent outside a friend’s residence the previous evening when Mr. Tatalovich touched her inappropriately. Initially denying the allegation, Mr. Tatalovich later admitted touching the girl inappropriately when he stepped inside the tent to kiss his two children goodnight. Mr. Tatalovich said he knew what he did was wrong and commented that he did not intend to have sex with the girl even if she consented.
