On 30 Jul 11 residents on Lang Farm Road in Marietta reported a suspicious female was walking along the roadway and at one point was lying in the middle of the road. Though the suspect was recalcitrant in answering questions about her identity, Deputy Sheriff Anderson identified her as Anastasia M. Nicolas, age 44, 22330 Brookdale Apartments #1127, South Lyon, MI. Asked if she was on any medication, Ms. Nicolas replied that she should be and commented that she also had marijuana she should be smoking. Ms. Nicolas then produced a metal tin containing marijuana and a marijuana pipe. Consequently, Deputy Anderson arrested Ms. Nicolas for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported her to the Washington County Jail. Deputy Anderson later learned that Ms. Nicolas had relatives living on Lang Farm Road but they said they had not seen her in years.

On 30 Jul 11 Lt. Rhodes investigated a report of a fight involving two teenagers in Waterford that resulted in one of the teenagers having a seizure. Friends of the victim, a fifteen year old Lowell resident, informed Lt. Rhodes that the aggressor in the fight was angry over pictures the victim allegedly sent to the aggressor’s girlfriend. The two parties met at a pull off on Flint Run Road in Waterford and after talking briefly the assailant punched the victim once in the head. The two then separated and the victim returned to a relative’s home where he had the seizure. Interviewed by Lt. Rhodes, the aggressor, a sixteen year old Waterford resident, corroborated the events as described by the victim’s friends. As a result, Lt. Rhodes requested a summons for the teenager to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by assault. The victim was treated at Marietta Memorial Hospital for a concussion that hospital staff said caused the seizure.
