On 18 Jul 11 the Newport Fire Department transported Robert Frost, age 40, 33387 State Route 26, New Matamoras, to Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV for treatment following an ATV accident. Mr. Frost was riding the ATV up an embankment at 370 Cisler Ridge Road, New Matamoras, when the ATV’s front wheels lifted off the ground and a handlebar struck him above his right eye. He was released after receiving treatment (208).

On 18 Jul 11 Lori R. Boyce, age 33, 580 Groves Avenue, Marietta, reported her husband Anthony, age 27, was intoxicated and agitated late the previous evening and accused her of having an affair. When Mrs. Boyce mentioned obtaining a protection order during the argument Mr. Boyce threatened to “splatter her blood all over,” grabbed a shotgun and a large knife and left the residence. Mr. Boyce returned to the residence around 7:30 am and briefly argued with his wife before departing again with a shotgun. Mrs. Boyce commented that her husband may be mentally unstable and that she fears for her own and her husband’s safety. Charged with domestic violence, Mr. Boyce was arrested at a relative’s home without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 18 Jul 11 Sgt. Norman investigated a possible domestic violence incident involving Lori Leedy, age 47, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent. Receiving treatment for a head laceration at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Ms. Leedy refused to provide details about the incident. Other witnesses around the residence at the time denied any knowledge of the incident.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Patricia Ann Jones, age 34, 248 Rocky Point Road, Vincent, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Jones was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 11 at 12:08 am.

Angela Dawn Day, age 33, 104 Riley Drive Apt. 9, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Day was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 11 at 6:35 am.

Anthony Michael Boyce, age 27, 580 Groves Avenue, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Boyce was arrested in Marietta by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 11 at 9:02 am.

Ira Heyward Jr., age 50, 2412 Colbert Street Apt. 21, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Heyward turned himself in at Marietta Municipal Court and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 11 at 9:45 am.

Brandon James Payne, age 20, 523 Second Street Apt. 10, Marietta, for escape, theft and domestic violence, all felonies. Payne was arrested in Marietta by Chief Deputy Warden of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 11 at 11:15 am.

Lavada Lee Villegas, age 64, 109 Sixth Street, Beverly, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Villegas was arrested in Juvenile Court by Deputy Sheriff Deem and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 11 at 12:42 pm.

Ciara Marie Cavallier, age 23, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 3, Marietta, for failure to reinstate her operator’s license, a misdemeanor. Cavallier was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 11 at 5:31 pm.
