On 12 Jul 11 Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested
a summons for Leilani L. Fortney, age 33, 193 Fox Haven Drive,
Vincent, for misuse of a credit card. While residing temporarily
with a friend in Lowell in early June Mrs. Fortney obtained
her friend’s credit card number and used the information
to accrue several charges. Mrs. Fortney admitted using the credit
card for personal purchases but claimed the victim gave her
permission to use the card. The victim stated Mrs. Fortney reimbursed
her for a majority of the charges.
On 12 Jul 11 a sixteen year old Little Hocking
resident reported at some point during the past four days an
unknown suspect(s) removed an amplifier, three subwoofers and
a car battery from his inoperable vehicle parked on Tower Road
in Little Hocking. The victim stated he purchased the stolen
items for approximately $1,000. This case remains under investigation
(200).
SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR MARIJUANA
CULTIVATION
A search warrant executed today by Agents of
the Major Crimes Task Force resulted in the seizure of a total
of thirty-one marijuana plants. Inside the residence of Patrick
D. Harper, age 53, at 15 Zion Ridge Road Marietta, Agents located
nine marijuana plants in an upstairs grow room. An additional
twenty-two marijuana plants were discovered outside the home
along with grow lights, fertilizer, pots and potting soil used
to grow marijuana. Questioned about the illegal items, Mr. Harper
admitted being responsible for growing the marijuana.
Harper was arrested on a third degree felony
charge of cultivation of marijuana and transported to the Washington
County Jail. He remains incarcerated without bond pending his
initial court appearance at 1 pm on 13 Jul 11.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
William A. Casson II, age 24, 1334 Take Away
Place, Morrisville, NC, for OVI, driving under a suspended license
and speeding, all misdemeanors. Casson was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Jul 11 at 3:28 am.
Kristopher Todd Pasco, age 19, 342 Sparling
Road, Waterford, for aggravated burglary and aggravated riot,
both felonies. Pasco turned himself in to Corrections Officers
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul
11 at 7:10 am.
Jamie Allen Walker, age 29, 2943 Roberts Road,
Amesville, for violating the terms of his probation. Walker
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 11 at 9:06
am.
Patrick Dean Harper, age 53, 15 Zion Ridge
Road, Marietta, for cultivation of marijuana, a felony. Harper
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 11 at 1:07
pm.
Jeremy Matthew Rowe, age 27, 127 Ohio Boulevard,
Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Rowe was arrested at his residence
by Major Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul
11 at 3:29 pm.
Jonathan James Hall, age 23, 194 Davis Road,
Waterford, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony.
Hall was arrested at the Adult Parole Authority office by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Jul 11 at 4:00 pm.
