On 7 Jun 11 the New Matamoras Fire Department transported a twenty-four year old New Matamoras resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to a prescription drug overdose. The victim, who was awake a responsive at the hospital, stated she ingested a hand full of pills following an argument with her boyfriend and mother (1184).

On 7 Jul 11 Deputy Sheriff Reeder requested a warrant for Melissa B. Lang, age 43, 130 Saint John Road, Marietta, for telephone harassment. Intoxicated and upset over a decision a Deputy made regarding a complaint she made the last week of June, Ms. Lang phoned the Sheriff’s Office several times during the day. Despite being asked to not phone again until she was sober, Ms. Lang repeatedly phoned and was verbally abusive toward Dispatchers. Ms. Lang phoned the Sheriff’s Office at least ten times and was told on two occasions not to phone unless it was an emergency.

On 7 Jul 11 a sixty year old Advent, WV resident reported she was with her sixteen year old grandson visiting a relative’s home in Little Hocking when her grandson became upset and made several threatening comments. The teenager ran away from his aunt’s residence earlier in afternoon and was argumentative and disrespectful when he returned. The teenager’s grandmother said her grandson’s comments did not cause her to fear for her safety. Deputy Sheriff Anderson contacted the teenager’s mother and arranged for her to take custody of her son.

On 7 Jul 11 the Warren Fire Department transported a fifty-eight year old Marietta resident to Camden Clark Hospital for treatment following a suicide attempt by ingesting an overdose of the prescription drug, Klonopin. The victim appeared disoriented prior to the arrival of the emergency squad but is expected to recover fully (610).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joseph Franklin Johnson, age 49, 1400 McDonald Road, Vincent, for contempt of a court order, a felony. Johnson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Jul 11 at 12:41 am.

Cynthia Ann Allen, age 23, 3818 Liberty Street, Parkersburg, for a felony charge of theft and for misdemeanor charges of theft and criminal trespassing. Allen was arrested at Walmart by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Jul 11 at 4:44 am.

Nena Kaye Whitlock, age 37, 355 McDonald Road, Waterford, for theft, a felony. Whitlock turned herself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Jul 11 at 8:55 am.

Rachel Marie Williams, age 31, 13247 Belle Valley Road, Caldwell, for OVI, driving under a suspended license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Williams was picked up at the Franklin Pre-Release Center by Deputy Sheriff Deem and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Jul 11 at 2:09 pm.
