On 29 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff McLeish requested summonses for Roger L. Slack, age 65, 288 Ridgewood Drive Apt. E, Marietta, and Suzann Starr, age 62, 280 Mechanic Street, Macksburg, for disorderly conduct. Mr. Slack and Ms. Starr have been involved in an ongoing feud with Richard Carpenter, age 53, 274 Mechanic Street, for some time and the two observed Mr. Carpenter sitting on his porch as they trimmed grass around a pond. As the couple worked, Mr. Carpenter heard Ms. Starr threaten to kill him and his wife. Mr. Carpenter said Mr. Slack began yelling and exclaimed that his two sons are visiting this weekend and he was going to send them over to beat him up. When Mr. Carpenter retreated into his home he said Mr. Slack continued to yell and taunted him to come outside to fight.

On 29 Jun 11 Lt. Stackpole was on patrol on Joe Skinner Road when he encountered a male subject stumbling along the roadway and yelling toward the Ohio River. The subject, Joseph K. Lloyd, age 48, Marietta, had a strong odor of alcohol and said he did not have a specific destination to which he was traveling. During the interview Mr. Lloyd asked if he could relieve himself off the side of the roadway. When Lt. Stackpole denied the request Mr. Lloyd urinated in his pants instead. Unable to locate a sober individual to care for Mr. Lloyd, Lt. Stackpole arrested him for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported him to the Washington County Jail. At the jail Mr. Lloyd tested .117 BAC.

On 29 Jun 11 a Belpre resident reported she is house sitting for her brother Matthew Evans, age 27, at his residence at 111 Schilling Street, Marietta, and she believes an individual who lives with her brother removed the license plates from her brother’s vehicle and placed them on his own. Other witness informed Deputy Sheriff Holbert that they observed Allen Jones removing Mr. Evans’ license plates and later saw Mr. Jones driving with them on his vehicle. Located by Deputy Sheriff Holbert in Oak Grove, Mr. Jones admitted placing Mr. Evans’ plates on his vehicle but denied driving it anywhere. Based on his investigation, Deputy Holbert arrested Mr. Jones for theft and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 29 Jun 11 Jack Emde, age 69, 4101 Oak Ridge Lane, Cambridge, reported at some point during the past eleven days an unknown suspect(s) broke windows and entered a cabin he owns in the vicinity of 22000 State Route 60, Waterford. Mr. Emde said several valuables were undisturbed and the only item taken was a Budweiser wall clock. While investigating this case Deputy Sheriff J. Smithberger noticed two nearby cabins appeared to have been forcibly entered as well. It is unknown at this time if any property was stolen from those cabins. This case remains under investigation.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jeremiah Isiah Reams, age 27, 809 Warren Avenue, Belpre, for failure to appear, a felony. Reams was arrested at the intersection of Third and Greene streets by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jun 11 at 1:46 am.

Allan Jones, age 64, 111 Schilling Street, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Jones was arrested on BF Goodrich Road by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jun 11 at 5:54 pm.

Joseph Kevin Lloyd, age 48, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Lloyd was arrested on Joe Skinner Road by Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jun 11 at 7:40 pm.
