On 22 Jun 11 a forty-two year old Belpre resident reported the husband of one of her friends has been harassing her via phone, text message and in person. The victim said the suspect blames her for his marital problems and has ignored her previous requests to not contact her or visit her home and business. This case remains under investigation (608).

On 22 Jun 11 Beverly S. Williamson, age 54, 127 Greene Street Apt. B, Newport, reported while she was away from home for an appointment a neighbor entered her apartment without permission. Ms. Williamson stated no items are missing but some objects appear to have been moved. The alleged suspect said he was searching for Ms. Williamson’s son to ask him to help clean around the apartment building and that Ms. Williamson’s front door was ajar when he knocked. It was then that the suspect said he entered the apartment in search of Ms. Williamson’s son. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 22 Jun 11 Kirk A. Frazee, age 39, 255 Cornes Road, Little Hocking, reported he parked his Dodge Caravan to retrieve an animal from the dog kennel at 285 Orchard Drive, Belpre, and when he returned to his vehicle he noticed a large dent behind the driver’s side door. Mr. Frazee said he believes the vehicle that struck his van was a red station wagon, possibly a Subaru. This incident remains under investigation (610).

On 22 Jun 11 a representative of the Oak Grove Recreation Center, 535 BF Goodrich Road, Marietta, reported sometime over the past two days an unknown suspect(s) pried the bill acceptor off a soft drink machine and removed between $150 and $200 in cash from inside it. This case remains under investigation (610).

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Amy Marie Leedy, age 22, 9552 State Route 550, Vincent, for operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, failure to register and driving under a suspended license, all misdemeanors. Leedy was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Jun 11 at 10:00 am.
