On 20 Jun 11 a passerby reported finding a large quantity of what appear to be construction tools at the intersection of Sheets Run Drive and Whipkey Road in New Matamoras. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 20 Jun 11 Robert Hill, age 66, 3355 Creek Road, Cutler, reported sometime since the beginning of May an unknown suspect(s) entered his residence and stole three guns, several power tools and various collectibles. Mr. Hill resides near Cleveland but visits his local residence periodically. This case remains under investigation (707).

On 20 Jun 11 an employee of the Washington County Garage reported at some point during the past two weeks an unknown suspect(s) stole the battery from a bulldozer parked at the intersection of State Route 339 and Brackenridge Road in Dunham Township. This case remains under investigation (707).

On 20 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider responded to a report of a male subject calling for help from a wooded area near the Reno Fire Department. The subject, Robert Ward, age 61, 290 Cornerville Road, Marietta, emerged from a nearby property walking with a limp. Mr. Ward said he was moving debris on his property using his tractor when it overturned and pinned his leg. A passerby heard Mr. Ward’s plea for help and was able to lift the tractor of his leg. Mr. Ward later transported himself to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment. He was released after x-rays concluded he did not suffer any broken bones.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Cody Edward Longwell, age 25, 39154 Goddard Ridge Road, Sardis, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Longwell was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 11 at 10:00 am.

Dean Leroy Phillips, age 33, 404 ½ Montgomery Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Phillips was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 11 at 4:59 pm.
