On 14 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested
a warrant for Christopher Camino, age 33, County House Lane,
Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order. The
previous evening Mr. Camino rode his motorcycle to his estranged
wife’s home on County Nine Road, stopped at the end of
her driveway and revved the motorcycle’s engine. A protection
order forbids Mr. Camino from contacting his wife or from coming
within 500 feet of her.
On 14 Jun 11 Scott Shankland, age 41, 27335
State Route 7 Lot 22, Marietta, reported he believes his ex-girlfriend
sold his Harley Davidson jacket and t-shirt without permission.
This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 14 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Anderson and the
Wesley Fire Department responded to a fire on a porch at the
residence of Sharon R. Taylor, age 61, 1058 Graham Road, Cutler.
The fire was extinguished quickly and caused damage to the home’s
siding and a wooden bench. It appears that the fire was caused
by a reaction between chemicals that Ms. Taylor was using to
stain cabinets. No injuries were reported.
On 14 Jun 11 Jay Handschumacher, age 48, 1110
Dalzell Road, Whipple, reported he was involved in an argument
with his sister when she came to his property to repossess a
vehicle that is in her name. When his sister attempted to drive
away in the vehicle Mr. Handschumacher tried to remove the key
from the ignition. At that point Mr. Handschumacher’s
sister bit him in the arm and broke the skin in two places.
Neither party reported being in fear for their safety during
the incident. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Mankins closed this
case as unfounded.
On 14 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriffs Carr and Reeder
responded to reports of an erratic driver and an intoxicated
individual in the vicinity of 300 Starlite Drive, Marietta.
At the scene Deputy Reeder observed Sharyn S. Baldrick, age
62, 807 Third Street, Marietta, fumbling with the keys of her
vehicle, attempting to start it. As Ms. Baldrick exited the
vehicle she nearly fell and had to use the vehicle to balance
herself. Based on his observations, Deputy Reeder arrested Ms.
Baldrick for OVI. While she was questioned by Deputy Reeder,
Ms. Baldrick’s passenger, Vickie M. Thompson, age 28,
300 Starlite Drive Lot 40, Marietta, became belligerent and
cursed at Deputy Carr. Visibly intoxicated, Ms. Thompson continued
her behavior and was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication.
At the Washington County Jail Ms. Baldrick tested .237 BAC.
On 14 Jun 11 Corrections Officer Farrell charged
Washington County Jail inmate James Scott Walraven, age 35,
901 Hope Drive, Athens, with assault. Security footage shows
Joseph L. Slider, age 21, 836 Pike Street, Marietta, turning
away after exchanging words with Mr. Walraven. Mr. Walraven
shoved Mr. Slider in the back, causing him to fall into the
handrail of the dorm’s upper level. When Mr. Slider rose
from the floor Mr. Walraven punched him in the face and knocked
him to the floor. Mr. Walraven then kicked Mr. Slider in the
abdomen several times before retreating to another area in the

Drive Lot 40, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication,
a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Jun
11 at 2:24 pm.
Nyoka Sue McGee, age 34, 24 Colegate Drive,
Marietta, for breach of recognizance, disorderly conduct and
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors. McGee
turned herself in to Patrolman Linscott at the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 14 Jun 11 at 2:25 pm.
Sharyn Sue Baldrick, age 62, 807 Third Street,
Marietta, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Baldrick was arrested in Marietta
by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Jun 11 at 2:52 pm.
Joseph Lee Slider, age 21, 836 Pike Street
Apt. 2, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Slider was arrested at Bob Evans
by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Jun 11 at 3:25
