On 12 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Holbert arrested Brett E. Shank, age 42, 1145 Bender Road, Marietta, for domestic violence. Mr. Shank’s ex-wife Tiffany, age 44, stated Mr. Shank arrived at the home they share highly intoxicated after an evening of fishing and an argument erupted over him making howling noises. During the argument Mr. Shank shoved his wife, causing her to fall over a clothes hamper and injuring her arm. Ms. Shank said she attempted to phone a male friend for help which further angered her ex-husband. At that point Mr. Shank attempted to grab the phone and in doing so pulled her hair and caused the phone to strike her head. When transported to the Washington County Jail Mr. Shank tested .136 BAC.

On 12 Jun 11 Jessica Binegar, age 21, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 7A, New Matamoras, reported she spent the previous day away from her apartment and at some point during that time an unknown suspect(s) entered her residence and stole her thirty-two inch flat screen television. This case remains under investigation (805).

On 12 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Schubert requested summonses for Vicki D. Gray, age 56, and Willie B. Ross, age 63, both of 3265 School House Road, Little Hocking, for thirty-eight counts of animal cruelty. The summonses were requested following the execution of a search warrant at the aforementioned address on 10 Jun 11. Eighty-two animals, including thirty-four dogs, twenty-seven chickens, eleven birds, two ducks and four rabbits, were rescued from the residence and surrounding property after Deputies and Humane Officers determined the animals were living in deplorable conditions, malnourished and lacked veterinary care.

On 12 Jun 11 Tracy Williams, age 30, 480 Harriett Street, Macksburg, reported several guests spent the night at her home after the group played board games into the early morning hours and she believes during that time one of the guests stole $60 from her purse. This case remains under investigation (208).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Melvin Arthur Murphy, age 40, 7485 Stanleyville Road, Whipple, for two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Murphy was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Schubert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jun 11 at 12:30 am.

Brett Eric Shank, age 42, 1145 Bender Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Shank was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jun 11 at 3:19 am.

Kaci Rhea Fulmer, age 20, 6070 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Fulmer was arrested at Colonial Terrace by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jun 11 at 4:14 am.

Jakeb Michael Bailey, age 20, 4756 Federal Road, Little Hocking, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Bailey was arrested at 1666 School House Road by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jun 11 at 8:44 pm.

Blake Mackenzie Keel, age 18, 1666 School House Road, Little Hocking, for failure to register a dog and for failure to confine/restrain a dog, both misdemeanors. Keel was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jun 11 at 11:31 pm.
