On 9 Jun 11 Jessica Rogers, age 23, 5585 State Route 821, Whipple, reported she was involved in an altercation with her husband Jon, age 26. Mrs. Rogers said she asked her husband to leave after she found out he cheated on her with her cousin and he refused. In an attempt to convince him to leave, Mrs. Rogers stated she broke a window on her husband’s truck with a hammer. When Mr. Rogers refused again, Mrs. Rogers struck the windshield of the truck with the hammer. At that point Mr. Rogers grabbed the hammer from his wife, struck her with his hand and put her in a choke hold. Mrs. Rogers said she feared for her safety during the incident and felt that her husband would continue to hurt her. Consequently, Deputy Sheriff Simmons arrested Mr. Rogers for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The witnesses said the wagon was full of dry hay and they were able to remove Mr. Schramm from under the wagon in under a minute.
