On 7 Jun 11 Tracy Lamp, age 35, 712 Front Street Apt. B, New Matamoras, reported her husband Nicky, age 38, assaulted both her and their fourteen year old daughter. Returning to their residence after leaving following an earlier argument, Mrs. Lamp said her husband shoved their daughter, causing her to fall into the steps to the porch of their residence. Mrs. Lamp stated her husband was highly intoxicated and when she confronted him for shoving their daughter he grabbed her by the throat and punched her in the face. Mrs. Lamp escaped to her vehicle with her daughter, at which point Mr. Lamp threw a metal stand at the vehicle and shattered the windshield. Mr. Lamp then grabbed a wicker chair from the porch and struck the hood and windshield of the vehicle before Mrs. Lamp was able start the vehicle and drive off. Deputy Sheriff Schubert later located Mr. Lamp walking along State Route 7, arrested him for two counts of domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 7 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Holbert and the Oak Grove, Warren and Waterford fire departments were dispatched to a structure fire on property rented by John M. Heiss, age 44, at 965 Lang Farm Road, Marietta. The fire caused substantial damage to a wooden shed and its contents. Mr. Heiss said the fire damaged an air compressor, plasma cutter and welder inside the shed and also damaged a John Deere lawn tractor parked outside. In addition, the fire caused damage to the vinyl siding of the nearby residence. Though foul play is not suspected as a cause, the State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted to investigate due to the amount of monetary loss.

On 7 Jun 11 Larry Coe, age 72, 1220 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, reported he believes a family member stole two checks from his checkbook and was subsequently able to forge one of the checks for $150 before he was able to close the account. This case remains under investigation (707).
