On 6 Jun 11 Kristi Carpenter, age 40, 360 Mechanic Street, Macksburg, reported she recently noticed $400 was missing from a wallet she placed in a kitchen cabinet. Mrs. Carpenter said she was away from her residence for several hours Saturday evening and family members visited her home thereafter. There were no signs of forced entry. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 6 Jun 11 Nina Heiss, age 48, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, reported on 1 Jun she gave her Acer laptop computer to another County Home resident in order for him to find a battery charger for the computer. The individual departed the County Home with the computer and has yet to return. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 6 Jun 11 an employee of Marietta Industrial Enterprises, 17493 State Route 7, Marietta, reported on 5 Jun at approximately 2:40 am an unknown suspect(s) removed the CB radios and miscellaneous tools from two semi-trucks in the company’s lot. This case remains under investigation (707).

On 6 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriffs Carr and Rhodes responded to a report of a burnt vehicle in a field in the area of 1435 and 1590 Vickers Road, Marietta. Contacted at his residence at 1590 Vickers Road, the vehicle’s owner, Derrick Lemasters, age 28, said he intentionally drove the vehicle into the field in order show his girlfriend where he wanted to build a cabin. Mr. Lemasters said he was unsuccessful in two attempts to drive the vehicle back onto the roadway near 1435 Vickers Road so he left the vehicle where it was. The Dodge two door sedan later apparently overheated and caught fire. The vehicle was completely burnt and deemed a total loss. The property owner at 1435 declined to pursue any charges in the matter.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Robert Michael McKinney, age 23, 706 Center Street, Beverly, for theft and forgery, both felonies. McKinney was picked up at the Fairfield County Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 11 at 4:17 pm.

Keith Tyler Whealdon, age 18, 2460 Huck Road, Lowell, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Whealdon was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 11 at 4:30 pm.

Jeremy Gale Davis, age 28, 416 Arnold Road, Lowell, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license, for not wearing a seat belt and for disorderly conduct by fighting, all misdemeanors. Davis was arrested on State Route 7 in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 11 at 4:49 pm.

Benjamin Bruce Randall, age 22, 111 Montgomery Street Lot 23, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Randall was arrested at his residence by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jun 11 at 11:55 pm.
