Archive of 06-05-11

On 5 Jun 11 Francis Farnsworth, age 70, 610 Fourth Street, New Matamoras, reported when he awoke that morning he noticed his large stainless steel grill was missing from his porch. Nearby residents also reported waking to find large items missing from patios and porches. Four wrought iron chairs with cushions, two oil lamps, two tables, a flower urn and an ashtray were stolen from a residence on Front Street, another grill was stolen from Second Street and an Amish swing was taken from Park Avenue. These cases remain under investigation (594).

On 5 Jun 11 William C. Graham, age 31, 702 Third Street, New Matamoras, reported a space heater was stolen from an upstairs bedroom of a home he and his wife are in the process of purchasing at 328 Fourth Street, New Matamoras. Mr. Graham said the home has been vacant for two years and that it appears the suspect(s) entered through an unlocked side door. This case remains under investigation (608).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Vickie Marie Thompson, age 28, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 40, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 11 at 10:49 pm.

John Michael Young, age 51, Marietta, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Young was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Jun 11 at 10:55 pm.
