On 2 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks requested a summons for Samantha R. Haught, age 28, PO Box 241, Coolville, for disorderly conduct by fighting. At Par Mar at 66 Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking, early that morning Ms. Haught was involved in an argument with another female because she believed the other female stole her boyfriend’s dog. The argument became heated and Ms. Haught said she punched the other female in the mouth. Ms. Haught stated she felt the other female was going to strike her and decided to land the first blow. The other female was not injured in the incident.

On 2 Jun 11 Tammy Perine, age 33, 184 Fourth Street, Lowell, reported she departed her residence at 10 am and when she returned at 6 pm she noticed her home was ransacked and in a state of disarray. Ms. Perine said nothing appears missing but food and clothing were strewn about the floor, couch cushions were thrown around the living room and mattress were tossed off the beds. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 2 Jun 11 Sherry M. Duff, age 30, 685 Mitchells Lane, Marietta, reported several individuals visited her residence briefly that evening and during that time she believes one of the guests stole $350 from her purse. This case remains under investigation (805).

On 2 Jun 11 Corrections Officer McKee filed charges against Washington County Jail inmate Jeffrey Brown, age 24, 202 Fifth Street, Racine, OH, for illegally conveying items into a detention facility. Several hours after Mr. Brown was processed into the jail to serve a sixty day sentence, Corrections Officers received information that he may be in possession of contraband. A search of Mr. Brown yielded three small bags of tobacco and another bag containing four pills. Questioned about the items, Mr. Brown admitted swallowing four baggies and stated the pills were morphine, Suboxone and Subutex.

On 2 Jun 11 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Jennifer E. Lehman, age 20, 1625 Ivy Place, Lancaster, OH, for traveling 69 mph in a 60 mph zone. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Ms. Lehman on US 50 near State Route 555 in Belpre Township.

On 2 Jun 11 Lt. Stackpole issued a citation to Christopher Parker, 160 Strahler Road, Waterford, for driving left of center. Lt. Stackpole stopped Mr. Parker after observing him travel outside of his lane on three occasions on State Route 60 in Waterford Township.

On 2 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Holbert requested a summons for Kirk B. Kern, age 19, 714 Mitchell Avenue, Beverly, for underage consumption of alcohol. Mr. Kern was a witness at a residence in Beverly the previous evening where an intoxicated individual was reportedly threatening himself with a shotgun. While investigating that case Deputy Holbert determined Mr. Kern was under the influence of alcohol.

On 2 Jun 11 Staci L. Fair, age 36, 1543 Woodruff Road, Vincent, reported her estranged husband left a threatening message on her voicemail on 27 May. Ms. Woodruff said the message did not fear for her safety because her husband frequently leaves similar messages. Ms. Fair declined to pursue charges in the matter (107).

On 2 Jun 11 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider requested a summons for Roger Burkhart, age 26, 832 1/2 Third Street, Marietta, for theft. The previous morning an employee at Sponey’s IGA in Beverly reported he observed Mr. Burkhart attempt to conceal two boxes of cold medicine in his clothing. Mr. Burkhart then exited the store and was confronted about the theft by other store employees. Questioned by Deputy Caltrider, Mr. Burkhart admitted attempting to steal the items.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Colton Michael Klintworth, age 18, 21640 State Route 339, Beverly, for underage consumption of alcohol and for using a weapon while intoxicated, both misdemeanors. Klintworth was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 11 at 2:26 am.

Richard S. Buttermore, age 36, 906 Campus Drive, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Buttermore was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Fields of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 11 at 1:13 pm.

Russell S. Burkhammer Jr., age 38, 1023 Third Street, Marietta, for four misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Burkhammer was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 11 at 2:42 pm.

Andrew Brooks Beaver, age 29, 909 Phillips Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Beaver was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 11 at 2:55 pm.

Kirk Alan Mason, age 23, 1109 Quincy Street Apt. B, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation, breach of recognizance, nonsupport of dependants and for two counts of failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Mason was arrested on Elm Street by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 11 at 10:15 pm.
